![]() Tuesday, 2nd Jul 2002 12:45 Jonathan Barnett, Matt Holland's agent, has denied that Town have had any bids for their skipper. Barnett, also agent for Richard Wright, Kieron Dyer and Titus Bramble, adds that if Town really have valued Holland at £10 million, as some reports suggest, then he doesn't expect any bids at all. TWTD reported this morning that Fulham are likely to head the clubs interested in moving for Holland when he returns from holiday. Sources in London are also reporting that Fulham are the front-runners. Barnett, though, says that up to now all is quiet on the Holland front: "There is nothing happening with Matt at the moment. "And I doubt very much if there will be if what I'm reading about Ipswich's valuation of £10 million is correct. "Matt is away with his family on holiday at the moment and when he returns we will have a chat and see where we go from there. "He is under contract to Ipswich and he is their player. I am not aware, at this stage, of any offers for Matt." Holland has been linked with innumerable clubs over the summer and we understand that a number of bids have come in, although none have yet been confirmed by Town. Chairman David Sheepshanks revealed recently that Everton had enquired about two players at the end of last season. Although he refused to name them, Marcus Stewart and Matt Holland had previously been reported to be the subject of cash-plus-player bids from David Moyes' club. Last summer, while reports of Richard Wright's transfer to Arsenal were widespread, Barnett continued to deny that any move was on the cards.
