Saturday Lunchtime Kick-Off For Derby
Thursday, 4th Dec 2025 16:34

The East Anglian derby against Norwich City on Saturday 11th April at Carrow Road has moved to a 12.30pm kick-off.

There had been speculation that a Friday night match might be on the cards but always seemed unlikely, despite no trains running between Ipswich and Norwich over that weekend due to engineering work.

The Blues say the date and kick-off time have been set following discussions between the clubs, the EFL and local authorities.

Regarding the travel issues, Town say they are “assessing options of away supporters travelling to this fixture via club-managed travel”.

The Blues will be looking to record their first double over their Norfolk rivals since the 1992/93 season having won 3-1 at Portman Road in October.

For those of us who don't live in Ipswich how does"club managed travel" work?

Just imagine this could be the game that seals both their relegation, and our promotion.

Aaah Baxter

Their relegation and our mid table I am afraid if Town play like they have……the next 5 games will define Towns season…….
Coventry home and away…..Stoke home….Millwall away…Sheffield Wednesday home……

Need 15 points to put Town really in the mix…..however I can see the head of KmK being called for by the fans as I see 4 defeats and a draw

Karlos.

Your predictions are a bit harsh. Surely a win against Sheffield Wednesday, pick up a win or 2 somewhere and maybe a draw. Have seen a few Coventry games this year, great going forward but a bit dodgy in defence.

Karlosfandangel. 15pts . Really? While yer, it'd be great, its not realistic, regardless of how we're playing. Some fans need to give their head a wobble and get real. This is thr championship. And, bar Coventry right now probably the most even championship for a few years. And they will no wdozubt hit a bad spell at some point .

Yes very harsh…..I would expect a win to Sheff Wed but I expect that against Oxford and Blackburn and a draw with Hull…….so it show how good I am at predicting a score.

Agree with your point with Coventry but Town are poor at finishing we need 20 or 30 shots to seem to get a goal

Fingers crossed you are right

Did not say we would get 15 points …. I said we need 15 points to put Town really in the mix.
Can we catch Coventry… two defeats and I think no…but think no already.
Cant let Millwall or Stoke get away from us….feel they are more important games than Coventry and if Town are going to get top 2 the Sheff Wed need to be put to bed but we failed dismally against Oxford
The way Town are playing and what KmK is saying not sure Town have the fight like we did last time around.
Against Oxford no one seemed to have that fight so I have lost that faith that this team can set up

So 15 points very unrealistic……hope 7 to 9 but live in hope and die in vain
