Three Changes as Blues Face Blades
Saturday, 22nd Dec 2018 14:26

Town boss Paul Lambert has made three changes to his team for this afternoon’s home game against Sheffield United with Ellis Harrison, Andre Dozzell and Gwion Edwards all starting.

Dozzell replaces Flynn Downes, who drops out of the 18, in midfield with Edwards in for Jack Lankester, who is among the subs, wide on the right.

Harrison makes his first start under Lambert with Jordan Roberts also among the subs.

Sheffield United are unchanged from the team which lost 2-1 at home to West Brom eight days ago with ex-Blues striker David McGoldrick starting and ex-loanee Richard Stearman on the bench.

Town: Gerken, Spence, Pennington, Chambers (c), Knudsen, Chalobah, Dozzell, Nolan, Edwards, Sears, Harrison. Subs: Bialkowski, Jackson, Ward, Roberts, Nsiala, Kenlock, Lankester.

Sheffield United: Henderson, Baldock, Stevens, Fleck, O’Connell, Basham, Sharp (c), Egan, Norwood, McGoldrick, Duffy. Subs: Moore, Clarke, Coutts, Stearman, Johnson, Crainie, Washington. Referee: Andy Woolmer (Northamptonshire).

Happy to see Harrison back in, he'll hopefully offer us more of a treat up top. Hope it doesn't turn into a midfield scrap though as I can't see our boys winning that, we look a bit light weight.

With the Blues at the bottom and Norwich flying it would be nice to get some points on the board today. Positive changes and although things are quite bad for us at the moment we will never have anything as bad as this in our history.
