Extra Trains for Peterborough Trip

Greater Anglia have added an additional train both to and from Saturday’s game against Peterborough United at London Road.

There is now an extra train from Ipswich to Peterborough at 10.24am and one in the opposite direction after the game at 5.34pm. Both services will have three carriages.

Two cheers for Greater Anglia. Good effort, and will help a lot. But I suspect there will still be massive overcrowding. Hopefully the regular services will also be 3 carriages, as often they are cut to 2 or even 1. No buffet obvs, so bring as much beer as you can carry!

Got the below from GA this morning:

There will be no changes to the normal Saturday service on this date so I would advise you to check our journey planner to plan your route:

We understand that trains will be busier that normal so there will be extra carriages in place but this depends on the availability of rolling stock and trains are still expected to be very busy.

Nothing on the Greater Anglia site and the journey planner doesn't show any extra service.

Greater Anglia customer services don't seem to be aware of it yet. This from a chat query " details for this will be posted out if this does go ahead." Not exactly commital.
