Town striker David Johnson is virtually certain to miss tonight's crunch game with Bolton Wanderers. The neck injury which saw him substituted in Sunday's disastrous first half an hour is still very sore, despite there being no breakage.

Martin Reuser is likely to step into the midfield as he did so admirably on Sunday, with James Scowcroft moving up front.

Tony Mowbray will be back after his eye injury sustained at the weekend, though he will be sporting a black eye. The only other questions over the Town line-up surround the three centre-halves and the two wing-backs.

In the centre Mowbray and Venus are almost certain starters, but the third place could go to Manu Thetis or Wayne Brown. Thetis is a player who doesn't instil confidence in all fans and Brown had an excellent game when coming on for Mowbray.

However, with both Brown and Venus left-sided players George Burley may opt for the Frenchman. As for the wing-backs Jamie Clapham is a certain starter on the left after a superb second half performance on Sunday.

The other wing-back at the Reebok was Fabian Wilnis, however Gary Croft might come in as he is rated as the more likely to counteract the threat of Allan Johnston down the Bolton right flank. Fingers crossed that this is our year.

this was just months before i left the uk forever........
could not afford a ticket so listened on the radio in the car and at half time decided to come to the ground and as the gates opened at 85 minutes we crept in and saw a stunning extra time and final celebration
