Jackson, Judge and Parrott Start as Blues Host Plymouth
Saturday, 13th Mar 2021 14:31

Kayden Jackson, Alan Judge and Troy Parrott return to the Blues’ starting line-up for this afternoon’s home game against Plymouth with James Norwood missing from the 18 and Jack Lankester and Teddy Bishop dropping to the bench alongside the Cole Skuse, who is in the squad for the first time this season.

Jackson, making his first start under Paul Cook, starts as the lone striker in place of Norwood with Parrott behind him, while Judge looks set to start on the left.

Veteran midfielder Skuse is in the 18 for the first time following knee surgery.

Plymouth make one change with Adam Lewis coming into the side for 18-goal top scorer Luke Jephcott, who is without a goal in eight games and is on the bench. One-time Town target Danny Mayor looks set to play off lone striker Niall Ennis.

Town: Holy, Chambers (c), Nsiala, Wilson, Kenlock, Downes, Dozzell, Edwards, Judge, Parrott, Jackson. Subs: Cornell, Ward, Skuse, Lankester, Bishop, Bennetts, Drinan.

Plymouth: Cooper, Watts, Aimson, Edwards (c), Mayor, Grant, Macleod, Ennis, Lewis, Opoku, Camara. Subs: McCormick, Hardie, Reeves, Moore, Fornah, Jephcott, Tomlinson. Referee: Sam Purkiss (London).

Skuse is back! A great member of the squad, and still has a lot more to add.

Welcome back Skuse! No Norwood? Let's see how that plays out - Jackson and Parrott could be an interesting combo...COYB!

Fans got their way getting first M Mc then PL , both have far more experience than PC, lets hope our fortunes change. Incidently who has won manager of the month? M Mc in Championship.

The Cole Skuse? Interesting use of the definite article in the first paragraph.

Bingboast. What are you on about? So McCarthy got manager of the month. So what? Hes always good in his 1st few months at a club. See how things go a year or so down the line. More than likely the same as every other club hes managed. Downhill fast. As for Lambert? What's he ever done in football management? Since leaving norwich( where he had culverhouse beside him), hes had relegation after relegation. Cook, on the other hand has had 3 promotions, and would have kept wigan up last season had it not been for the 12 point deduction. Either back him or go and support some1 else. It's time the negativity stopped.

Good to see Skuse back, anyone know what's happened to Wolf or Nolan? Norwood must be carrying a knock..COYB want the 3 points today

Interesting selection indeed ;don't forget J Norwood has a court case upcoming so this might influence things !
PC seems committed to re-assessing the squad composition ( too many players ) and that can only be a good thing .He's a great communicator and will without doubt tell us much about our team a little later today , hopefully after he's encouraged them to a home win !

One nil up against a poor Plymouth team who were doing their best to hand us a win. Poor marking in central defence will definitely need a dominating centre half next season. Kenlock playing well getting Wilson and Nsiala out of trouble must take more responsibility and mark tighter. Jackson like Norwood is not a natural finisher and this is costing us dear in games. Losing Downes could be crucial second half as Bishops only good when in possession. Would like to see another physical midfielder signed.
