West Ham would love to get Aaron Cresswell 2.0 off us, but I'd rather see him go to Newcastle if he's going anywhere. Hopefully he's fully bought in to what we're working towards here, but £20m is probably double our biggest ever sale (Mings?) - going to be hard to turn that down. Hopefully if we're in the PL too there's less incentive to jump ship, but let's see! I'd be having him in my fantasy team next year if he does go, put it that way!

I suspect he’ll be playing premier league football one way or another next season.

If we do not go up this season i can see him going, and for that money, whilst i dont want him to go, you cant really turn it down.

The same could be true of Mckenna if we dont go up, that loss would be huge and hopefully i am wrong.

Not to add to the pressure but we really do need to go up this season, by rights you could say enjoy where we are because we were in league 1 last season and for the most part we do still have a squad that is running at peak and does need improving, there are of course a few stand outs. If we dont go up though i can see Mckenna getting poached and of course players like Leif, who if Mckenna does go i think will effect a lot of players because he is the glue.

Whatever the case already this season has been amazing, i would have taken anything in the top 10 before season started just being realistic, so im happy i just dont want to loose the best people, backroom and player wise.

If Town were in the prem mid table and not going anywhere then yes but there are not many teams that give their managers 100% backing and leave them to do the job plus go out and get the players the manager wants.

KFD ,can but agree totally with your sentiment ! Km and his chosen coaches have brought back to us standards,principle, enthusiasm and utter compelling interest and commitment. We must hope he and his family share our pleasure here in Suffolk ,and that for him and for us a contract is a contract .
For certain he is a major influence in the business and planning for an ITFC future !

Would be a big loss but The most important thing we need to do this summer is to hang onto our manager at any cost.

If I were him I'd leave. It's his boyhood club and is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We will gain a big profit to reinvest and he has done very well for us, so he should go with our blessing. My son would have to find a new favourite player, he seems to have taken a shine to Sarmiento...

I'd love him to stay here but I would not hold it against him if he went to Newcastle. The lad has been awesome for us and deserves to fulfill his dreams whether it's with ITFC or his boyhood club.

I think all this transfer talk has probably unsettled him a bit and affected his performances of late. There's no way we could compete with the likes of Newcastle or even West Ham in what we can offer him even if we did get promoted if you think otherwise your living in dream land.

Every player has a price more clubs want him means more money.
We will have a major rebuild in the summer like Coventry had when they sold there best two players.

Sooner or later one of our players is going to have to move on. If we go up so does the price, if not £20+m funds one hell of a rebuild in the summer. Hes been a great player for us but a dream move to his supported club is a different level so I suspect the Club will have to accept this and move on.

This will be where we see how good Ashton is at getting the best price for our assets.
I would suggest around £25mil if we stay down or £35mil if we are promoted

He’s under contract. £20m is chump change to PL clubs, especially Newcastle who are bankrolled by the headchoppers. Ask £40m, accept £30m.

Given how Ashton mugged us off over Webster, I suspect he’ll hold out for a good deal on Davis, if that’s what has to happen. I think he’s a smashing player and I’d love him to stay, but if he wants to leave, especially if it’s to his hometown club, that’s fair enough.

Good luck to him whatever he does. I have never heard a grumble or complaint about him. He is living proof that if you have the talent, it can developed at Town.

I could see him going to Newcastle in the summer which would be sad - he's a very good player - and for over £20m would not be the worst decision for us if he wanted to leave.
On the other hand, McKenna would find trying to manage those prima donna Premiership players a relative nightmare. I'm sure he's too sensible to leave us for a few years yet. Besides, we supply the best England Managers.

I think he’ll be playing at whichever club McKenna is managing.
If we go up, replacing Davis could cost us £25-30m so that’s the starting price. We need to make sure we have a replacement in place first.
