Season Tickets Sell Out
Friday, 26th Apr 2024 10:12

Town have announced that season tickets for the 2024/25 season have sold out through existing renewals, meaning no new fans will become season ticket holders for the campaign ahead.

More than 20,000 season tickets have been renewed from this season’s total in excess of 21,000 - a total higher than the cap originally set by the club last summer - and so no season tickets will go on general sale.

There will, however, be more matchday tickets available and the club will be introducing a season ticket waiting list ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Town announced their season ticket prices a month ago with the same figure, a rise of around eight per cent, set whether the Blues are in the Championship or Premier League next season.

“The support this season has been incredible once again, which is something everyone at the club hugely appreciates,” CEO Mark Ashton told the club site.

“Season ticket holders are incredibly important and for such a high number to have renewed for the new campaign is another example highlighting the loyal support the club is fortunate to have.”

Portman Road’s capacity is in excess of 29,000, varying from game to game, with long term plans to increase the number of seats by rebuilding the 53-year-old Cobbold Stand.

I think Texastom is one of those glory hunters who would crawl back down his hole if things started going pear shaped.

VanD very well sad. A free for all? Jeez. I am not grumpy but l am old. I’ve been supporting Town for over 55 years, and have had the same season ticket/ seat for 38 years. So l have experienced many high and lows. Met some great people, who have become friends, one it two no longer with us. I suppose as a ITFC Plc shareholde, l coukd get grumpy being told that because of the new share issues, the Plc shareholding is no longer 13%, it’s down to 1%. Also that if there are any dividends these will all go to Gamechanger. Many Town fans as requested by the Ckub bought shares during the time of financial troubles of the 2000s to help raise funds for the Club. Oh well Cest la Vie.

Texastom up marked you by mistake. Never read so much rubbish. So you think it should be a free for all, every season? So fans, such as myself, who btw, I've missed 7 home games in 53 seasons, could miss out to some1 who's never been to a-game in their life. Ridiculous.

If we do make it to the premiership then sly TV will be changing match days KO time to suit the armchair supporter, therefore not everybody can change there work ,holiday, family .just to go to a football game. So the Brentford Idea sounds great.

The only thing that's taking the edge of my enjoyment of this amazing season is this 'real fans' v 'glory hunters' stuff. Please! Being a spectator is not a competition sport, the football is! For the record, my first season was 1967-68. And I had a season ticket until my dad was too frail to manage the steps in the Cobbold anymore, three years ago. Can we alk just enjoy the football?

I have not renewed my season ticket due to no longer being fit enough to get to the ground , so who has got that ticket?

Those of us who have stuck with it through all those dark times are now getting our rewards. Sorry for those who miss out, but loyalty has to still count for something.

Cotton_eyed_joe who needs friends like you!! if the guy has spent his money then good luck to him!! you don't know his circumstance he might have loss a child and in his/her honour has kept the seat and he's probably a long term supporter of 40+ years and has followed the team through good and bad,not just jump on the good times, and in that case we don't need supporters like you that would call out guys like him.
COYB for that final push

According to a one contributor season ticket holders are selfish for taking advantage of the opportunity to renew annually. I first had a season ticket for 1966-67 and since then have supported the team through thick and thin (mainly thin for most of the past 20 years!) It has already been pointed out that it was not long ago that our crowds were less than half of what they are now and those who did attend will recall the matches when we hoped to take advantage of the meagre one or two scoring chances created. It was dour at times but the faithful supported the team regardless. Yes I firmly believe that my undivided support over the years entitles me to renew my season ticket and if that offends anyone so be it. Undemocratic if you like but no different to what happens across the whole of professional football.

Texastom - professional cricket and rugby have season tickets, which they call memberships.

Cantona11, I know all about my friend and has only bought the spare seat for the purposes I stated. I was a season ticket holder for 10 years until my father passed and I didn't feel up to going without him, I have been attending the last 5 years with my son when he is free.
