Muric: Really Pleased to Do My Job Sunday, 15th Sep 2024 10:59 Blues keeper Aro Muric was delighted to have played his part in securing yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.
The 25-year-old Kosovan international pulled off a series of saves, most notably a brilliant first-half double stop, to claim Town’s first Premier League clean sheet since the 1-0 home victory over Middlesbrough in April 2002.
“It was a really tough away game against a good team but we are really pleased to get a point,” he told the club site.
“They are a good team and they had some chances but I was really pleased to do my job and help the team.
“The crowd were amazing and we heard them supporting us for the whole game, which is huge for us. This was my third game for the club and it was great to hear them.
“I’m really enjoying playing for this club and everyone has been brilliant. I am sure our first win of the season is very close.”
Manager Kieran McKenna was full of praise for Muric in his post-match press conference.

Knee-jerk reactions from pathetic fans, he didn’t need to make a statement after what he did on the pitch. I wonder who the next target will be for them? I bet if we are in the bottom 3 at any point after 10 games in, it’ll be all ‘McKenna out!’ And if you look back it’ll be the same people who said we should have dropped Muric after a nervous debut.

Those fans who saw his performance in pre-season knew this was coming. The guy has the opportunity to be a colossal influence and his passing is way better than we've seen so far. Really thrilled for the lad, the 5 minutes at City is history now, now the fans have seen what he is capable of I expect him. to be a huge favorite!

Never kick anyone when they are down. KMcK knows exactly how to deal with players.

There's a saying in cricket - class is permanent, form is temporary - seems this might apply here. Aro has shown his ability/class.

The saves were massive, but equally encouraging were dominating the box and catching crosses. One punch he might have caught, but lots of bodies there.

Royal_Blue He also holds onto shots very well giving almost no rebounds away. He seemed to have glue on his gloves.

Great display of Goalkeeping from Muric. His command of the box and shot stopping was incredible. Could end up saving us a few points this season and prove to be a bargain at 8mill.

See what a night out on the town can do for your performance...every sensible person knows that a big feed of beer and some disco drugs and a few hours destressing on the dance floor will give you a lift for several days despite what the wowsers claim...

Not sure what made me happier, Muric's worldie saves or the fact it means we have some temporary peace from the Muric out moaners.
