Hutchinson On Target For England U21s
Tuesday, 15th Oct 2024 21:36

Omari Hutchinson netted his first England U21s goal and assisted three more, while Aro Muric added to his Kosovo caps this evening.

Hutchinson came off the bench in a wide right role in the 61st minute and won his second U21s cap as the England youngsters hammered Azerbaijan 7-0 in their final European Championship qualifier at Ashton Gate.

The Blues forward, who found the net in the final minute, also picked up three assists, the third facilitating former Town loanee Dane Scarlett on 86, who returned the favour by laying on Hutchinson’s goal. Liam Delap missed the game as he was suspended.

England, who had already secured qualification for next summer's finals in Slovakia, finished top of the group.

Elsewhere, Aro Muric won his 40th Kosovo cap as they beat Cyprus 3-0 in Pristina in the Nations League.

Hopefully that will give him some confidence back though Azerbaijan really weren't all that!

Yes agree John Grose, that's a confidence boost more than anything else. Absolutely no comparison between that defence and Premier League ones.

Yes Omari is finding the Premier league very difficult physically but can still be a success if he adapts his game and not try and beat so many players Premier league defenders are much quicker and stronger.
