Blueboy1981 certainly knows how to wind people up in here! I guess there are three types of supporters who post. Those who see everything through rose/blue coloured glasses, those who see everything through a glass darkly, and those who hopefully strike a more balanced view, oh and you can throw in a few trolls too of course, they turn up everywhere. I hope I'm more of one of the ones with a more balanced view, but I'm certainly not perfect. I'll leave you all to decide where everyone fits. I don't know if the 1981 was Blueboy's birth year or whether it signifies something else, but it was certainly a vintage year for the club, part of a season I'll never forget, so at the very least, he is very well named, and of course whether anyone likes it or not, entitled to his opinions as much as anyone else, like them or not! As for Snow White, I don't think we'll be seeing her any time soon, she'll melt.

As @armchaircritic59 points out, we are all entitled to our opinions. I guess we can put the same point across in very different ways, but the reality is that we ALL want the same thing, ITFC to be a successful club. We just have different ideas about how to achieve that, but a reality is that very few of us know how to run a football club. We have our ideas and thoughts on that, we ALL do, but none of us know the actual reality and also how fast the game moves on in terms of how things are done. The negative comments do get tiring and it feels like if some on here won the lottery they'd moan as they didn't get there £1 ticket fee back, haha, but, for me, the slagging off of comments is equally as bad from the blue tinted glasses and, in fact, also creates and keeps the negative comments going. Its human nature, for better or worse. Chill out folks. I feel we're all a tad concerned about the lack of signings, but equally we don't just want any old player. Hopefully, it's because we doing our due diligence and we're making sure we get not only the right player but at the right price. Just because we have coin in the club it doesn't mean that we should be held to ransom. As for the Ed Sheeran gigs, I personally am not a fan of his and was glad to see a new sponsor on the shirt, but that does not mean I don't recognise just how good he is for our club, commercially, and bringing new young, local, fans on board who could be tempted by the Liverpools and Arsenals of the football world insteadof their local club. He's has been a vital cog in the wheel and the longer he's associated with us all the better. These gigs are amazing for us as a club, but Ipswich and Suffolk as well. Brilliant stuff from the club, oh, and the Fabio Wardleys fight, too. For too long the bigger cities have hogged those kind of events, so why shouldn't Ipswich and surrounding area get a piece of the pie? It's not just the club that benefit financially, pubs, hotels, shops, restaurants get a wee boost to the coffers, too, hopefully, which in turn means that they can then invest in the local area. Enjoy the weather (it's even blue sky 21 degrees up here in Orkney!) and enjoy the run up to the beginning of the season and then when the business really gets going, too. I can't believe there's people on here that haven't blocked Blueboy! It's so refreshing to come on here and not see his lame comments. Still see people replying and I never wonder what he's written.

Been a blue since 1939, the only thing that really matters is where we are at season end!

Hate the fact that MacAnthony just had to tell the world that this friendly took place with his little Cock-a-Doodle- Doo of victory.

Baino, great comments and completely agree with just about everything you said. I'm sure ( apart from the few trolls in here ), we are all desperate for the club to be a big success story, on the pitch especially, but off it too. I'm very fortunate in being way more than old enough to have seen the good times here, and I'd love to think the younger supporters will get their turn too. I guess we all have different ways of communicating and look at things differently too, but what binds us all together is far greater than what pulls us apart.
