Video Gives Taste of New Wark Book
Wednesday, 16th Jul 2025 12:24

A new video gives a taste of the upcoming John Wark book, He's Here, He's There, which is available for pre-order from TWTD now, from a new video, and also features a few reminders of the great man’s brilliance for the Blues.

Written by Neil Prentice, who was behind the recent George Burley book, All To Play For and 1980-81 - The Greatest Season in Ipswich Town’s History, He’s Here, He’s There is being published to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Wark’s debut for Town earlier this year.

In addition to Wark himself, the book includes interviews with or features on teammates from his three spells at the club, among them Allan Hunter, Kevin Beattie, Paul Mariner, George Burley, Terry Butcher, Russell Osman, Arnold Muhren, Frans Thijssen, Chris Kiwomya, Jason Dozzell, Craig Forrest and Kieron Dyer.

Both the collector's and standard editions of He’s Here, He’s There are available from TWTD here.

There are also a few copies of the Burley book, All To Play For, still on sale via the same link.

Very well presented video. A real walk (pardon the pun) down memory lane. I have a signed copy of John's original book but I'm very tempted to get this one too.

A club full of great legends...but in my opinion JW has to be the G.O.A.T.

Yes RobsonWark, a club full of legends indeed, we can all discuss who we think is the G.O.A.T, but certainly for longevity and still proving that class never leaves a player, only the sheer physical effort needed to sustain it, Warky is definitely top of that pile!

I remember singing "He's here, he's there" at Roker Park in 1992, and the police told us off. Substitute in "...were not allowed to swear...." and the problem was solved. Plod has a laugh too, back in days when they were human.
