![]() Tuesday, 20th May 2003 09:45 Town skipper Matt Holland has denied commenting that he would be interested in a move to Spurs. Holland is currently away with Ireland and widespread reports yesterday quoted him as saying he would be interested in a switch to White Hart Lane. The 29-year-old says he doesn't know where the story came from: "I have not heard of any interest from Spurs and I have not said anything about them at all. I don't know where this has come from and I have not spoken to anyone about them. "I have not heard about any club interested in me and I'm just concentrating on Ireland and these very important qualifiers. The rest will sort itself out during the summer." Town need to bring in at least some money via transfers over the summer and Holland looks the most saleable asset. Boss Joe Royle would like to keep him if at all possible but admits this may prove impossible: "There is bound to be speculation but I have heard nothing about interest in Matt from other clubs. "He is someone I would like to keep and we will not be giving him away even if someone came in for him. It is very quiet at the moment, as I expect it to be all month."
