On-loan midfielder Alan Mahon will not be involved in the reserves' home game against Portsmouth on Tuesday due to illness. Mahon has been out of action since picking up a hamstring injury in the league game against Stoke.

The Blackburn player, now over the injury, didn't train on Monday and may also miss out on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, the club are hopeful he will return in time to be involved in Saturday's first team game against Sheffield United.

Town's reserves will be looking to continue their recent good run, which has seen them win 5-1 and 6-1 in their last two games. The match kicks off at 7pm.
