![]() Thursday, 22nd Dec 2005 12:26 Mansfield manager Peter Shirtliff has denied any contact from Town or Southampton regarding young midfielder Giles Coke. The Championship clubs have been linked with January moves for the 19-year-old. Shirtliff said: "Giles is under contract for the rest of the season and I think there's an option for the following season as well. So why should he leave in January? "Nobody has phoned me about him. I don't know where these stories come from. "It's part and parcel of football. I don't get annoyed and I don't get excited about it - it's something that happens." Coke joined Mansfield from Kingstonian last season and has made 33 senior appearances, scoring five times.
