On-loan Town striker Billy Clarke came on as a 70th minute sub for Colchester as they drew 1-1 Brentford at Layer Road on Saturday. The Irish frontman was making his second appearance since joining the U's for a month.

Elsewhere, Kevin Horlock played the 11th game of his two-month loan spell at Doncaster as they won a South Yorkshire derby at home to Rotherham 3-1. The former Northern Ireland international has been offered a two-year stay at the Earth Stadium but is also considering an offer from New Zealand.

Aidan Collins, on loan at Stockport after being told his Town contract will not be renewed at the end of the season, made his second appearance for Cheshire's Hatters as they lost 1-0 at home to Bury.

Fellow centre-half Gerard Nash has yet to feature in Steve Tilson's 16 since joining Southend on loan 10 days ago. The Irishman has been told he will not be offered a new Town contract in the summer.
