![]() Sunday, 23rd Apr 2006 22:34 Town's second string could restricted to playing only friendlies next season with a planned East Anglian reserve league unlikely to be set up before 2007/08. The Blues and other Football League sides have been excluded from the Premier League reserve divisions from next season. The Town reserves are expected to play many of their games away from Portman Road with afternoon kick-offs at Playford Road likely as well as the occasional match at Needham Market's Bloomfields and other local non-league grounds. Town's reserves are in action at Leiston on Wednesday in a friendly to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Ridgeons League club. Striker Sam Parkin has been pencilled in to return to action after his broken ankle.
