None of the players on this showing alone deserve to make the first eleven on Saturday, but was a good run-out, keeping the fitness levels high. |

The £2.5 million-rated striker is also rumoured to be interesting Celtic as well as already having had spells training with Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham. Some TWTD Message Board regulars may recollect his name cropping up a few weeks back, but as those posting the rumours gave no source these weren't taken too seriously at the time. |

Nets Come Down Tue 17th Oct 2000 16:22 Town have explained the appearence of nets behind each goal throughout Saturday's match with West Ham. A club statement said: "These nets were wider than the goals for the purpose of protecting supporters during the pre-match warm-up from loose footballs missing the goal. The nets did in fact remain for the entire match to see whether it would speed up the return of loose balls during the game. Following the match the club received considerable feedback from supporters who felt that these nets to be obstructive to their view." |
Naylor Still Feels Pain Tue 17th Oct 2000 15:56 Town striker Richard Naylor has revealed he is still suffering pain in his knees despite his summer operations. He is reported to have said: "The problem has been there for a while and got so bad last year that I saw an operation as the only way out. There is still a fair amount of pain in both knees and apparently I can expect them to feel sore for another six to eight months." |

Town chairman David Sheepshanks announced that this year's turnover would be around the £22 million mark when revealing Town's annual accounts for last year. Last year Town's annual turnover was £9.957 million which was a rise from the previous year's total of £7.949 million the previous year. |
