Former Town skipper Jon Walters has criticised boss Roy Keane for amongst other things his decision to axe veteran coaches Bryan Klug and Charlie Woods. Klug left the club in January, while Woods was let go in the summer of 2009 having been a consultant to previous manager Jim Magilton.

Town boss Roy Keane said that the 2-0 home defeat to Derby once again showed that his side isn’t ready to seal a position in the top six. The loss saw the Blues drop to seventh in the Championship table.

Town had been the stronger side for much of the first half but gradually lost their way with the visitors taking control and securing the win via Commons’s eighth and ninth goals of the season.

Boss Roy Keane says it’s not only hard to make his first XI at the moment but there’s also stiff competition for places on the bench. The Town manager says the younger players are making it difficult for more senior players like Mark Kennedy and Darren O’Dea to make the matchday 18 on their return from injury.

Academy keeper Cody Cropper has been named in the US U20 squad which is taking part in the Torneo de las Americas in Kennesaw, Georgia later this month. Cropper, 17, joined the Blues' youth set-up as a second year scholar in the summer.

Blues boss Roy Keane says Hungarian striker Tamás Priskin is making it hard for him to leave him out of his Town side after his recent good run of form. The £1.7 million signing from Watford scored his fifth goal of the season at Sheffield United on Saturday.
