Call for Club to Rethink Reserves Switch Wed 24th Jun 2009 22:44
Ipswich Town Ist, the Supporters Trust, are urging the club to reverse their decision to switch reserve games to afternoon kick-offs next season. Earlier this week, Town announced that second string games will start at 2pm on Wednesdays rather than at 7pm on Mondays as has been the case in previous years.

Boss Roy Keane has confirmed that he will be taking his players away on a warm weather training camp during pre-season. TWTD reported last month that Keane was set to take the squad to Spain or Portugal to a resort such as the La Manga Football Centre as part of the squad's preparations for 2009/10.

Town's reserves matches will be at Portman Road on Wednesdays, kicking off at 2pm next season. In previous years the second string played on Mondays at 7pm when at the club's main ground and at 2pm when at Playford Road.

Boss Roy Keane says he is happy with the pre-season programme he has arranged for his players. The Town squad reassemble on July 2nd to prepare for their 2009/10 campaign which starts at Coventry's Ricoh Arena on August 8th.
