Clegg Talks to WABITS Tue 06th Oct 2009 09:23
Town chief executive Simon Clegg is making an appearance at the AGM of the West Anglia Branch of the Ipswich Town Supporters Club (WABITS) this evening. Clegg will give a speech and answer questions at the meeting being held at the Bedford Golf Club, Great Denham with a 7.45pm start.

The shirts worn by Jon Walters, Tamás Priskin and Jaime Peters in the Newcastle game are the latest to go up for auction to raise funds for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. The first three shirts auctioned, those worn by Pablo Couñago, Richard Wright and Lee Martin, raised more than £4,000.

Academy trio Josh Carson (pictured), Cormac Burke and Rory McKeown won their second Northern Ireland U17 caps on Friday as their side drew 1-1 in a friendly in Greece. Midfielders Carson and Burke started the game, while full-back McKeown came on as a sub.

Town faced injury time woe in South Yorkshire for the second time in five days as former Blues loanee Jon Macken’s goal gave Barnsley a 2-1 victory at Oakwell. The Tykes had gone ahead in the first half through Iain Hume, who later smashed a penalty against the bar, Liam Rosenior equalising for the Blues before the break.

Roy Keane has dismissed former Manchester United team-mate Dwight Yorke’s assessment of his management style made in his latest autobiography. Yorke, whose new book is currently being serialised in a national newspaper, played for Keane during his time as boss at Sunderland.
