Reading striker Dave Kitson failed to travel to Suffolk with the rest of the Royals squad after suffering an injury in a training ground clash of heads with defender Peter Castle. The former Cambridge United man could still join up with the party on Tuesday, but is considered a doubt.

Town's FA Youth Cup third round tie at Leeds has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 30th with a 7.30pm kick-off. The U18s are aiming to retain the trophy they won back in May.

On-loan striker Dean McDonald made his Hartlepool debut as a sub in their 1-0 defeat to Gillingham on Saturday. The former Arsenal trainee has joined Pools for a month to gain senior experience.

Dutch defender Fabian Wilnis says that although he has had no row with boss Joe Royle, he did speak with the manager after being left out of the 16 for the recent home game with Plymouth Argyle. Wilnis had been withdrawn in the previous match at Derby having been at fault for at least one of the Rams' goals.

Boss Joe Royle was unhappy with the way Town over-played on the edge of their own area and allowed Coventry to score what he felt was an undeserved equaliser. The Blues had gone ahead through debutant Gavin Williams who received praise from his new boss.

Loanee Gavin Williams scored on his debut as the Blues' first game at Coventry's new Ricoh Arena ended in a 1-1 draw. Williams put Town ahead on 50 but Gary McSheffrey equalised six minutes later.
