Skipper Jim Magilton, Kevin Horlock and Adam Proudlock all missed training yesterday. Magilton's arthritic toe kept him on the sidelines, while Proudlock and Horlock continue to have knee problems.

Striker Sam Parkin will be out of plaster within a couple of weeks after his recent surgery was declared a success. Parkin broke his ankle in the Reading game and underwent an operation to have screws inserted in the joint.

A young Town reserve side beat their more experienced Norwich counterparts 3-0 at Portman Road on Monday night. The goals came from Ian Westlake, Danny Haynes and Jaime Peters, while Liam Craig missed a first half penalty.
