Town seem a bit fortunate not to have a game this weekend with a number of players suffering with injury and, in one case, illness. Alun Armstrong has a virus and has undergone a number of blood tests after complaining of tiredness over recent weeks.

Young Town striker Guillermo Graaven has been told that police will not be charging him with rape. Graaven and another man were arrested in August after an incident involving a 17-year-old girl in Myrtle Road in town. Graaven was quick to catagorically deny any wrong-doing.

Reports say that Crewe Alexandra are to look at Town's Academy as they seek to emulate Town's highly regarded youth set-up. The Blues have recently spent £2 million on the Academy and are hoping that the future will see a large percentage of the squd being drawn from home-produced players.

The latest not entirely convincing Town link is with Wrexham striker Lee Trundle. The 25-year-old signed for Wrexham from Rhyl in February this year and has scored 11 goals in the 25 matches (plus 2 as sub) he has played in since.

Town's almost all-conquering youth side will play Bristol City in the third round of the FA Youth Cup. The Robins overcame Potters Bar yesterday 3-0 to set-up the tie with the Blues. The game will be played between November 22nd and December 1st at Portman Road.

Fabian Wilnis has had the promised chat with George Burley after his first half substitution on Helsingborg and his subsequent dropping for the Chelsea game. Wilnis has vowed to fight for his place and said he and the manager had to agree to disagree on some points.

Town have announced that Radio Suffolk commentator Terry Baxter is to join the club in December as Press Manager. Baxter, a lifelong Town fan, has been the regular commentator on Radio Suffolk throughout the last few years and has forged memorable partnerships with the likes of Lee Bracey and now Kevin Beattie.
