Poor team selection, we were set up to fail, hoof ball, no creativity in first half. Not much better in second.

A poor match all round. Wigan came for a 0-0 and it's frustrating that we let them get it - we only needed one goal and they'd never have got back into it. The ref was consistently inconsistent, missing obvious fouls right under his nose yet somehow seeing the most marginal infractions from 30/40 yards. But the most annoying aspect was Town's play. The fact we struggled that much without Murphy is a real concern, but we should have had the tactical nous to work out that, if the long punt upfield didn't work the first 20 times, it might be time to try plan B rather than go for another 20.

Awful. Obviously the wrong system without Murphy. Just lump, lump, lump. But what can you expect if you leave out your more talented players for workers.
On this performance more quality needed if we want to finish in the automatic promotion places.

Wigan came to frustrate and defend, they closed down the midfield and stopped any real flowing football developing. We were collectively having an off day with only Hunt, Tabb and Bru really showing any real spark in the first half and nobody standing out after half time.
A lot of aimless long balls forward, which never really worked with the size and strength of the Wigan side, but we seemed to have no clue how to change the way we were playing.
Overall a poor display with the only real positive being we didn't lose!

One of the dullest matches I have seen in 40+ years following the Town. Wigan clearly came for a point, and wasted time whenever given the opportunity throughout the match. Ref was poor (when did we last get a decent Ref at FPR?), but the most disappointing factor was that we failed to break down a poor, albeit hard-working, Wigan side. We by-passed the midfield all too frequently, a tactic that may work with the power of Murphy up front, but not suited to Noel & Didz, or to Freddie.

Don't want to end on a downer, so let me add that Mick has worked wonders with limited resources, and that I'm delighted with the season so far. COYB.

Abject performance, possibly the worst I have ever seen. To persist with long balls when we had no target man is tantamount to stupidity. The only things that matched a terrible game were the terrible weather and terrible match officials. Oh and perhaps a poor team selection against a bottom side which showed no adventure. Hard to pick a man of the match but on a poor poor day probably Scuse

Biggest complaints apart from the long ball garbage has to be the baffling substitution to bring Parr on at what I think was wide left, subbing the wrong striker - Didz looked disinterested and lethargic, and not starting with Bishop. This team is not good enough to be and sustain top twain my opinion and it needs a quality midfield, which of course will only work if we pass through it and not over it.....oh and please Chambers to CB...not singling anyone out but Smith had another poor game and looked jittery.

Surely after 10mins the players should have recognised that hoof ball was never going to produce anything this afternoon, and could have been a bit more creative and tried, at least, to play the ball through the field. We just seem be void of any ideas when the game doesn't go the way as we thought it would. The ref was as dire as I've seen at PR for a very long time. You would never believe 1 player missing (Murph) would have such an impact. Can you imagine the score line had Wigan been up against Bournemouth or Boro the way they played against us today.

Left the game looking for a tall building. Bye far the worst game this season, anymore like that then we can kiss goodbye to a play off place.

The match and Referee was the same as the weather...awful. A finicky Ref, not allowing the game to flow when there was any chance of it happening.
Murphy was a big miss and I would have liked to have seen Parr put in that position in the second half with Sears as his partner...yes I know it sounds strange, but they seem to have an understanding, and would have allowed us to play our normal game?
Mings seems to have lost his appetite to attack, McGoldrick lacks form and fitness and would be better used as a midfield creator in his current state.
This sounds like a right old moan, not meant to be, as Mick and TC have saved our Club but have also upped the standard of football of which we judge a match.

very poor game but not unexpected as MM refused to change tactics and continue to lump the ball up to attack but of course Murphy wasn't there so we lost out continually to Wigan's defenders. What headers we did win produced very little. Although I thought Tabb tired hard and should have scored with one of his chances, his lack of pace lets him down too often. But at least he played better than Skuse who for me provides little. He doesn't protect the defence and even less to help attack. Bru wasn't at his best and of course after playing badly at Brighton, Andro wasn't much better. Our midfield is our downfall and I'm surprised that MM hasn't done anything in window to make it better. My prediction is that we wont finish in top 6. Our defence can't win enough points for us and there's too much pressure on Murphy.

Disappointed in MM today, without Murphy we continued to play a direct 442 regularly hitting it long for the heads of our strikers.
When that failed we should have changed the system - gone to 352 or 433 - as long as we had 3 in the middle to try to control possession, as they were offering nothing going forwards. However that didn't happen we stuck to 442 and brought a center mid (Bishop) and a full back (Parr) on to play as wingers, not sure what that says to Ambrose and S. Hunt who weren't used!

Anderson was pretty non existent again and I think Bru passes the ball well, just doesn't demand it enough - he doesn't make himself available for the defenders to find enough, so they resort to the long ball.

I don't understand Mick's thinking today, Wigan obviously wanted a 0-0 and Mick seemed happy enough to protect that result too! I know we'd all have settled for where we are in the league, but now we're here, we don't want to throw it away and on recent form that looks to be happening!

On another note the ref again!!!! He just kept blowing his whistle for nothing - sometimes I had absolutely no idea why!!

Worst football match I have ever seen. I could have been keeper for either side and kept a clean sheet. Our best chance was a tabb header straight at the keeper and theirs was a bouncing shot from outside the box, no team had any creativity and I'm struggling to recall any significant chances for either team. Oh well, Bring on Rotherham and hopefully another run of results!

No quality, long balls and can't put two passes together. Awful.I thought Derby was the worse, but this was even worserer! How can the whole team play so poorly? One player yes, but the whole team?
