Vast improvement on Saturday if we can keep the ball better and try to play in on the floor a bit more we'll be moving in the right direction.

Oh how good it is to have goals to celebrate and yet another Tuesday night win, just like music, it is an injection of life. Two excellent goals and with key players now regaining form perhaps we are starting to turn the corner?
Bolton although useful in midfield are poor upfront and in defence and a more confident Town would have put them to the sword but for a fine individual performance by the visiting keeper.

much better performance than saturday against a poor Bolton side. Murphy is looking much sharper and Sears deserved a goal. thought Bru was off the pace at times but Skuse cleaned up most things in midfield and two good goals. good solid performance at the back against some big lads but i wish Chambers would try and play the ball out of defense sometimes instead of always hoofing it up the wing.

Great to come away with a win, a clean sheet and two very good goals to savour. On another night we may have scored six. Ben Amos was outstanding apart from a couple of dodgy kicks.
But I am not going to get carried away. In some respects we won 'ugly' still far too many hoof balls and lumping it into the channels. Bolton were a poor side and destined for relegation I fear but still taught us how to pass the ball to one another and keep possession. I don't know what the figures were but I would not be surprised to hear that Bolton had more of the ball.
Still its not how much ball you have, its what you do with it that counts. With winnable matches coming up Town will soon be back in the mix.

Asmost back to last year's performances. Thought Jonas was great, he showed what a proper full back should do unlike LC who had a mare. Jonas defended well linked up well with midfeilders and even helped with attacks. Other highlight was Pitman and Sears willingness to make runs and link up plus their attempts on goal. Both could have had hat-tricks. Murph played well but seems half a pace off last season but at least he looked better and had to deal with big defenders.

Gerken's form has improved since he stopped where yellow and green.
