Back to the days when the ref outscores our team. Just a shocking performance, really gutting after the long break.

Looking forward to playing Ipswich reserves next season. Be interesting to compare Cooks selections against his rejects !

Poor team performance, but one or two played ok, notably Sone Aluko.

What a shocker of a performance. Defensively all over the place, gaps exploited by a slick Bolton and non existent marking.
Woeful midfield and the worst performance since 3.0 v Derby on a wet Tuesday night

If it weren't for bonne and aluko it would be a white wash for the ref

Absolute rubbish , Paul cook totally out of his depth. Formation wrong tactics if there is any ?? So poor , not good enough. Slow backwards clueless.

Poor performance BUT Wes Burns was Immense, also Aluko and Bonne. Confidence must be at an all time low but I do believe they will improve and, by Christmas, will be a force to be reckoned with.

Its obvious some players have come to Ipswich for one reason and one reason only the wages and are not getting motivated by playing league one football. The system and poor work rate is not helping leaving big gaps in midfield.

I thought the ref was excellent. Aluko was a pleasant surprise, at least he looked like he was trying, along with Burns and Bonne. Poor old Walton, his debut turned out to be a turkey shoot. He must wonder what possessed him to come to a club with no defence. Cook needs to sort this, and quick.

Cook is a fraud and we should have guessed what was coming after the end of last season

He's got got his head in the sand and wont see what a terrible mess he's made. Bring back Butch and maybe Mills to sort out short term. I hope the Boo Boys now realise what they have done getting rid of MM, no funds but still kept usin Championship.

40 years of going to Portman Rd. Cannot recall a worse, defensive performance. Horrendous.

Our central midfield is non existent and a lot stems from there.

Can’t fault Waldon (he was totally exposed by ineptitude in front of him), Bonne, Burns and Aluko who all did their jobs, even Donacien showed spirit and made some key interventions.

The rest were abysmal and did not impose themselves on the game at all.

Entertaining first half, by both teams, but Town didn't come out for the second half. Our woeful defending and lack of midfield leadership throughout, coupled with naive tactics made the game easy for a well drilled Bolton side. Burns, Bonne and Aluko put in fine performances, plus Donacien from the bench, but perhaps Manager Cook needs help from someone like MacGreal to help cure our defensive woes?

Walton - poor decisions neither came for the ball nor left it. Think communication was better with a non-English speaking keeper. Bring back Holy quickly

KVY - no where near the player he was. No longer a defender.

Edmundson - Is he better than what we have. Has the wait been worth it?

Burgess - Okay, nothing special, strongest of a weak back 4

Coulson - Not as good as the last game, worked well

Harper - Waves his arms directing others, but does very little himself, needs to concentrate on his own game

Evans - Waves his arms directing others, but does less than Harper. As a paring this is our weak spot.

Burns - On fire today two goals from his two crosses

Chaplin - if the ball was played to his feet then we would get so much more from him, however to many balls to his head

Aluko - Ball control and touches were fantastic today. Should be in the middle instead of Harper and Evans

Bonne - Tried hard, scored the first goal and then every ball to him thereafter was hoofed from the back 4 because there is no midfield to pass to. Only wide men.

Jackson - Not sure why he was brought on. Not his fault.

Carroll - Forgot he had come on the pitch I was so annoyed by this time. Cant remember if he did anything. Not his fault.

Donacien - Got pulled inside so many times by Bolton to leave the gaps out wide. Not as solid as previous games.

Cook - Change the formation. For all of the personnel changes, these are your players. The one constant has been the formation which does not work. Get a defensive number 2 now as the current management team are useless. Jobs for the boys who dont know what they are doing. Give the kit man his old job back now he is way above his head.

I hate to say it but it would seem as though Mr Cook has 'all the gear...and no idea' !!!
Wes Burns was awesome and the standout player
