Eeyore added 17:32 - Oct 26 Great effort from Town. Played Brentford off the park in first half. Cajuste and Phillips ran it. Absolute class from them . Caught out by counter attacking and very sharp forwards. We should have had five in first half. The only player worse at shooting than Jack C has to be Leif! Phillips played very well throughout and Cajuste was class in first half - faded in second. Perhaps Phillips and Morsy can’t both play ? I feel Phillips rose to the occasion without his boss there. Ogbene injury unlucky. He was doing well. He went down off the ball seconds before Hirst goal and stretchered off so looks bad. Defenders clearly scared of him and were backing off like crazy. Delap was outstanding and has the pace that unfortunately Hirst doesn’t. Their 4th looked like easy save to me. Other than that, Muric played well. Perhaps time to give Walton a game though. Then Delap hit post in 97th. Delaps goal was an OG I think. Much better performance and if we play like this we will be ok. Harry very unlucky not to keep their 2nd goal out. A shame if it goes down as an OG. All players came and applauded fans at end. Brentford was a library. Hardly a sound. Ipswich fans deafening throughout (I was with the silent Brentford ‘fans’)

Eeyore added 17:35 - Oct 26 Spot on with high ratings for Phillips, Cajuste, Szmidics, Delap and Chaplin. Forgot to mention Chaplin. He looked good today.

Saxonblue added 17:53 - Oct 26 The 50 /50 calls are going against us - as they always do when you are down there scrapping for everything. Great performance from the team today but again just on the wrong side of some calls. My only criticism - Muric makes some good saves but way too many mistakes that cost us … what does Walton have to do to get his chance? Hurst was great, and Delap is in another class! Keep the faith and when things turn we will be winning these games.

Linkboy13 added 19:24 - Oct 26 Our biggest problem at the moment is the defence don't have confidence in Muric who makes good saves but makes to many mistakes that the better keepers don't. Hirst came in and looked very sharp but Delap is different class and i fear we might lose him in January if rumours are correct.
