Hull City v Ipswich Town Your Report added by Linkboy13 at 17:13:22
I think the top three or four teams have one thing in common they are all good going forward but not great at defending. Wolfenden and Burgess both struggle against quality strikers and i worry about them against Simms on Tuesday night.

Shame about all of these negative comments. I was there and thought it was an amazing match. Proud of our players. And our fans too who were incredible

Many Hull fans said we are the best team they have seen this season

This result felt worase than Cardiff. Perhaps it's time to rest Hladky and give our number 1 goaly a chance.
Coventry now becomes a must not loose match - why do I feel depressed about that ?

I think McKenna put it best that we’re disappointed with the goals conceded and we should have scored more. At fault for the goals were Hladky, Morsy, Burgess, Wolfenden so I down rated them. Glaring misses from Sarmiento and Moore so I down rated them. Luongo looks a shadow of the player earlier in the season but Taylor and Travis don’t offer anything. Chaplin tries hard but is in a bit of a funk-I think partly due to new baby but I reckon having Burns and Hirst back will really help him. We missed Broadhead. We can’t afford to lose Davis. We need a CB next season with a voice. Hladky has been so good but can’t afford to make mistakes like that again in the last two games!

Can't complain about the refereeing on this one - the whole match had a magic character about it. Some silly mistakes which cost another two points but the result is another point against a form team to take forward to Tuesday. Omari got a magic 10and the whole team wasnt far behind them. MoM was the Hull GK Allsop who produced a Gordon Banks dispaly to keep his team in it. Ohio did it again for Tigers and showed his scoring teeth It was good to see Burns and Hirst on the pitch again punctually for the last three crucial matches. COYB

Great match for entertainment. Two goalkeeping lapses cost us the points. Promotion is still in our hands tho. While it's good to see us play out of defence it's surely common sense not to pass in the centre to a plyer surrounded by two opponents & back to goal!

Why Hladky so bad figures. Played the same way than earlier this season.

Well drilled opponents and we stuck to our principles, positive at times but strolling towards adversity too often making it too easy for Boro to keep their shape. Still KM has only been a manager for less than 2 and half seasons and his principles have brought us a long way, further than I expected with the players he's got. Give him time he might even come up with a Plan B

Second best today. Norwich outthought us & stifled us up front. Their back four is slow but no one looked to run past them for through balls , all sideways & back passes. Morsy worked hard, won tackles & looked to pass forward whenever. 10 more like him please. Coventry saved our day so still matches to get automatic promotion but no more performances like that or we could blow our promotion hopes.

Yes, I think Norwich wanted it more. However, some poor refereeing in this one. Both ways, but majority of decisions went with home team.
Clear free kick for Al Hamadi on edge if box. There is no way he would go down deliberately in that situation. Alex clearly made a great tackle and got the ball - obvious live and in replays. The clumsy shove on Hutch was a clear pen even though Hutch ‘played for it’ - outside the area a free kick would have been given by 100% of refs! Compare it to Chaplin’s comical fall-over that earned him a soft free kick in midfield. The only one that the ref spotted was Sargent’s attempt at cheating. That dive should have been a booking because the ref clearly saw that it was a dive and the replay confirmed it. Sargent successfully conned the ref for the free kick from which they scored. However Morsy grabbed his shorts after he started falling. I think that probably gave the ref an excuse to give it. Sargent reminded me of Grant Holt when he cheated Norwich to victory a few years ago. I think Ipswich fans wouldn’t tolerate a Norwich-style striker whose main attribute is impressive simulation skills.

As soon as they scored they put 9 men behind the ball and looked for breakaways. They did it very well.
A disapointing goal to conseed at least 30 yards out and the goaly had a clear view.
Burns badly missed.
Fortunately Leed lost because I doubt if we could win the playoffs

Dire performance from all but Morsy. Nobody seemed to want to get hold of the game, and put any pressure on their keeper.
Definitely the worst they’ve played all season.

Not our day today, to many players had an off day. would have preferred to see Taylor start and Hutch come off the bench later if required. Morsy great performance as usual. Looks like Coventry have done us a great favour. Jammy Leicester.

At the tail end of intensive games its hardly surprising that this nonchalent display wasnt up to scratch. They all looked like they desperately needed a rest or holiday ro recuperate. Unusually jittery defence and no impetus forward play. Sparked for a while with the substitutions but if you dont shoot at goal you dont score.

Strangely below par and tactically as well as physically out-muscled in the first half. Real lack of energy and slow build up against an average Norwich team. Need to be much much better in such a key game.
