Sorry about my reaction last night re Downes. I’ve just seen the story about a straight red and a two-game ban so happy to admit I got it wrong.

Watching the PSG game v Montpellier and Mbappe swaps shirts with an opponent on their way to the dressing room at half-time. Distasteful antics at any time but at the height of a pandemic and with the football authorities calling for players to act responsibly?

I see the current, contrasting status of Norwich and Town is being given another airing tonight and has become a regular topic on here, leading to widespread views on how the chasm has become so wide.
It’s simple really. Their majority shareholders, Delia and hubby Michael, want the very best for their club and have learned valuable lessons along the way, which in turn have contributed to the enduring feel-good factor at Carrow Road and put them on good terms with the bank manager.
The jury remains out on what our majority shareholder is actually still doing here when he has overseen more than 13 years of terminal decline.
Oh yes, Holly’s message having met ME - “smoke and mirrors”. ‘Nuff said.

Just checked my latest woeful effort in Sky's Super 6 competition and spotted someone with your name who pocketed £500 this weekend as one of the 10 lucky winners from the thousands who scored more points than so-called expert Jeff Stelling.
Congratulations if it was you!

I’m not just talking about first team level, which has hardly been a roaring success. We have been used to our youngsters playing for their countries from U15 to U21 levels but this year, for the first time in a long time, nothing.

...unfortunately it was spoiled for me because iFollow linked me up with BBC Radio Lancashire and I had Brett Ormerod as the co-commentator, spending all his time concentrating on what the home side were doing wrong.
