A Question of Balance
at 12:34:19

I am in agreement with Currie10, having sat in the lower tiers the last couple of years Berra's leadership was loudly evident. He was constantly talking to his fellow defenders and if Gerken was in goal he was always telling him where to stand and demand he came off his line. I was never Berra's biggest fan and I think his head was somewhere else last season, but any criticism of his leadership is wide of the mark. Chambers is more of a gee them up type leader whereas Berra was the organiser. Additionally If Smith is held up as being eternally left footed then I would say that is more a criticism of Berra as I struggle to think of a more one footed player than him. I won't get into any debates on the praise of Skuse as I thought our midfield was utterly appalling on Saturday.

McCarthy Hoping to Chat Transfers With Evans at Sir Bobby Golf Classic
at 09:51:52

and to all the people jumping to the defence of the club, highlighting in bold extracts of the statement etc......... there should be no "hoping" to have continued chats with the owner. An owner of a club should have regular ongoing conversations with the manager throughout the summer. There should be no uncertainty about having any budget/transfer discussions. We are being made to look very amateur with Mick's continued silly statements.

McCarthy Hoping to Chat Transfers With Evans at Sir Bobby Golf Classic

This story perfectly sums up everything that is wrong with our club at the moment under Marcus Evans. For all of David Sheephanks many faults, communication and backing his manager with available funds were neither of them.

Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference
at 10:11:25

I'm not sure how this season can be marked as any kind of progress. I have enjoyed very little of it and certainly won't be rushing out to buy the end of season highlights DVD. Our season has been based around one loan player who is mainly injured.
Oh and I take great exception to Reuser being described as average.

McCarthy: No Point in Making Signings Just for the Sake of It
at 07:42:15

So the only point in selling our best player for £8m was to balance the books and not to reinvest in the squad. Give Mick less the 5% back and pocket the rest. What we have done if nobody made a bid for Mings? We certainly would have had a better shot at promotion but does Evans really need to take nearly all of the money away from Mick to keep the club going? I thought selling Mings and reinvesting the money was our best chance of promotion but that cleay never was the intention. Mick is working miracles if Evans is really keeping the purse strings that tight.

Town's Style Didn't Suit Oar

Looks like that defeat to Reading was more damaging than we ever thought.
We were playing much better and entertaining football up until that point.

Fantastic news. What an amazing coup, mick did well persuading him to come here over our rivals. Thank heavens for Marcus Evans.
Reminds me of when we signed Marcus Stewart. Exciting times.

Town: Any Move of Fans from Co-op Stand Will Be Carried Out Fairly
at 16:06:45

About time! Tried to get 5 season tickets together in there a few years ago but was told the only space for that amount of seats together were in the 'wet' front rows. I've had to pay the extra to sit in the middle tier and each week we can see the ridiculous amount of people hogging these cheap seats. Kick the cheapskates out now and get some new families in there to become the future of this club.

McCarthy: We Must Turn Improved Performances into Wins
at 11:13:59

He talks about entertaining us and that we saw a good performance on Saturday. What planet is that man on. I saw a very poor standard of hoofball, with only 2 shots on target in 90+ minutes. Is that entertainment? If so then I must have misjudged the Roy Keane years, as that was obviously Dutch total football compared to recent games. We have some good players in McGoldrick, Bru & Sears who like the ball at their feet, so why not play to their strengths rather than blasting it over their heads.

The long ball was fine to avoid relegation, but we have to play more expansively if we are to progress and if we can't do that with the players we have then we will have to spend some of that Mings money on better quality players who can keep and pass the ball.
Don't try and kid us that we are being entertained or watching good football because we are not.

Evans: I've Had Offers for Town
at 17:52:09

Marcus....... If you hadn't appointed that absolute idiot and the disaster that was Roy Keane then a " little bit of extra money and one or two extra players" was all that was needed. We were a half decent side back then, that needed a bit of tinkering and a couple of additions, not totally rebuilding with players with big forearms. You only have yourself to blame for the lack of promotion and the majority of debt you have built up.
