 | News Comment | McKenna: Nothing in the Air Regarding Omari's Situation at 07:39:38
I LOVE Omari’s ability to win the ball off opponents. His work-rate off the ball goes largely unrecognised I feel, and with Phillogene’s performance last night on the left, the thought of having these two young players left and right playing in that manner will be a sight to behold. We have to try and keep Omari! |
 | News Comment | McKenna: We Got What We Wanted From the Game at 07:36:11
By and large RobsonWark, I’d agree with you. Unfortunately it’s become more of a squad game these days. The game doesn’t even refer to it as “ the squad” anymore, but “ the group”. I take your point completely about a settled 11, but with in excess of 45 games this season every 2-3 days, there will be an element of player rotation, otherwise we’ll pick up a lot of injuries. It’s a fine line between too much change, and not enough, isn’t it… |
 | News Comment | Hirst: I Thought We Played Really Well, But Aberdeen Gave Us a Massive Challenge at 07:26:30
If anyone deserves that number 9 shirt, it’s George! He’s never let us down when he’s been fit to play, and he’s never rocked the boat when someone else took that number a 9 for one season. Hirst is a brilliant all round striker, and this season we’ll all see why. Clubs will be after him before the end of this season, I feel sure about that. |

Best of luck Mass, you legend. Hope it goes well for you at The Lions, but not when you play us obviously! . |
 | News Comment | Town Announce Matchday Ticket Prices at 17:26:33
...has the club announced any open sales of season tickets now that renewals by current ST holders have been completed? If not it seems a bit odd that there are absolutely no ST returns from last seasons glory hunters who are not prepared to renew for the Championship? |
 | News Comment | Town Announce Matchday Ticket Prices at 16:42:34
Without wishing to sound or come across as negative, why would the club ever want to re sell returned season tickets by fans who cant or wont want to renew. The club will make far more money from match day sales. I think a few " casual" or away fans will be likely to complain about this, this season.... |
 | News Comment | Town Confirm Young Signing at 19:53:17
I do wonder if a 40/41 yr old can actually cope with the extremely high tempo / intensity trainging, physiologically, let alone Championship games every 3 days. You cant get away from the simple fact he is in his 40's! |
 | News Comment | Town Yet to Open Young Talks at 00:06:44
Blues1: I dont doubt he has the capability to play in some games. But at 40yrs if age, if / when he picks up an injury, I suspect he won't heal particularly quickly now! You cant fight age in the end, and I dare say his leg cadence isn't what it used to be, so he won't be bombing up and down that wing from a full back position. All the potential downsides to signing a 40yr old. Then there's the small problem of his extortionate salary!! We paid through the nose for Phillips last season and look what we got for our money. Watford have dropped out of trying to re sign him due to his wage demands. IF he signs, itll come at a huge financial outlay, that may be an inspirational signing or a complete f cuk up of a Phillips x10 proportion. I'm really not sure about this one. How about using the money to bring in two decent strikers., now those we do need! |
 | News Comment | Blues Among Clubs Linked With Liverpool Youngster at 15:54:42
Can someone tell me what's the point of loaning a bigger club's player, when he'll just go back to his parent club at the end of that loan, but offers us minimal experience and physicality for the coming Championship season? |
