Town Yet to Open Young Talks
at 00:06:44

Blues1: I dont doubt he has the capability to play in some games. But at 40yrs if age, if / when he picks up an injury, I suspect he won't heal particularly quickly now!

You cant fight age in the end, and I dare say his leg cadence isn't what it used to be, so he won't be bombing up and down that wing from a full back position. All the potential downsides to signing a 40yr old.

Then there's the small problem of his extortionate salary!! We paid through the nose for Phillips last season and look what we got for our money. Watford have dropped out of trying to re sign him due to his wage demands.

IF he signs, itll come at a huge financial outlay, that may be an inspirational signing or a complete f cuk up of a Phillips x10 proportion. I'm really not sure about this one.

How about using the money to bring in two decent strikers., now those we do need!

Blues Among Clubs Linked With Liverpool Youngster
at 15:54:42

Can someone tell me what's the point of loaning a bigger club's player, when he'll just go back to his parent club at the end of that loan, but offers us minimal experience and physicality for the coming Championship season?

Chaplin: Skip Has Been Brilliant

I really hope Chaplin is used a lot thus season. He rarely ever has more than 2 touches of the ball, and is so quick thinking. A big miss for the team last season in my view.

"Conor Chaplin Baby "!!

Simpson: I Made the Wrong Decision to Turn Down Town Deal
at 13:58:36

Maybe he wasn't as good as he thought he was at that tine. Again I lay that down to his agent twittering in his ear... if Town believed he was a real prospect, I think they epukd gave offered him a contract t to reflect that. But as you say he was possibly hankering after a start position which maybe at thst tine he wasn't good enough. So he goes where hes offered more. I get that, but there was definitely bad blood being voiced on whatever media routes it came out on. It really wasn't handled very well all round. Do he left etc intjinknhed had a good loan spell at Swindon? And came back to Town probably expecting more than he was offered... its not easy I get it... but hus agent wasnt helping HIM. It is what it is and his career went a different direction. But he didn't last long at Huddersfield before moving on yet again. Sometimes young players want it all, " now".

Simpson: I Made the Wrong Decision to Turn Down Town Deal
at 12:44:33

Jugsy: from memory the lad was giving it large to the club, and strutting his stuff. Badly advised by his agent who was looking as they all do, to line their own pockets rather than really care about the clients career.

The club offered by all accounts a good deal, but he chose to reject it. His perogative entirely, but it was his then attitude towards Town that put me off him. He clearly regrets that now, but I bkane his agent twittering in his ear.. . As they do often do.

Hutchinson Exit Looking Closer as Brentford Agree Mbeumo Fee
at 13:53:30

Don't forget Chrksea waiting in the eungs with their greedy hands wide open for their hefty cut of any fee we get for OH.... so it's not all roses because any player we bring into replace him will undoubtedly cost us, top whack.

Another Town player jumping ship to a PL that isn't necessarily the best one to go too.
Wish him luck at Brentford, but wouldn't be surprised if he finds himself in a relegation season there.

Super Blues Membership Prices Frozen

Like you I felt it was a bit of a concern. Never got access to an away ticket, despite being a member. Essentially it's money for old rope for the club, offering nothing gor that outlay.

Apologies to you all. I'm sorry I am bei g quite emotional about losing our players thus windiw for sone reason. But I'd hope you'd allow me some slack for being an ardent, if older (67yrs) female Town fan. Guess I'm used to the old ways.... so Apologies once again.

Londonben: I'm honestly not trolling, or even intending too. I'm just hating how football has gone now, tbh. I'm desperately hoping we keep Omari, ( hes actually my favourite players if I'm honest), and thought of him leaving where we END UP getting a few bob for him and then have to try and replace him doesnt fill me with a feeling of successful negotiations given Chelsea will take a hefty payout, just as Man City did when its not even their player anymore. Nothing is simple anymore is it.

…and when Omari walks away , we’ve right now got three crocks to cover that right wing, Burns out until Oct, Phillogene ( who is frankly flaky), and Ogbene, still recovering from his injury. We WILL miss Omari like there’s no tomorrow when he goes. He’s a very influential attacking player for us.

This so far has been a very poor summer for us .
Axel gone , no fee
Burgess gone , no fee
Morsy gone, we’ve elected not to get, a fee
Omari leaving, “ making” a possible small amount.

WTF has football come too? It’s all about money these days. I must be getting to old to watch it anymore, because this greed and lack of any semblance of loyalty really does piss me off. Fans are mugs for be,Irving or buying into the “ star” of any team, because they clearly don’t give a flying one about the club or the fans, if a better offer comes in their off with a moments thought about what this club has given them to get them where they are now. It stinks.

How does a relegation contract clause expire? Sorry dont understand this. In smy case Town will demand that £35m as a fee if any club still wants Omari and since he's on a 4yr contract id say he's pretty much lijrky to stay now.

Brentford Reportedly Eyeing Hutchinson
at 18:37:22

Linkboy: you're obviously from a different era. I remember watching the game where players DID stay at a club for years and were rewarded with a TESTIMONIAL.... a by gone era.

Is that "a bit silly comment" for you too. Or just a Town fan voicing their views about how the game has changed, and not for the better!

I shall in future look out for your silly comments and respond accordingly.
