Im 100%behind your views on Hirst. He's vastly underestimated by a good number of Town fans. Some tw @ on IG actually accused him of being " lazy"!!That's the very last thing Hirst is.
Hirst's interplay makes the forward line tick. He had a phenomenal understanding with Chaplin, Burns and Broadhead, and like you I was screaming at McKenna to at least try it in the PL when defenders had sussed Delap.
I do want Hirst to start scoring more goals fir himself. He's got it in him, hes understandably short on confidence given he spent most of last season (once fit) being benched. I was afraid he'd leave us this summer, frankly! |

Now this IS a loss! Chappets is a very, very good player, but just like so many of thst promotion winning squad, hes been sidelined by McKenna in favour of the £20m " better" players brought in. Chappers only ever needs 2 touches of the ball before either executing a shot on goal ( remember those?) Or an defence splitting pass ( remember those?)..
Guess McKenna is getting his " own" squad now.... he needs to create a bloody good " team" from it and maximise their individual and collective skills...... ive yet to be convinced this will happen.
