 | News Comment | Hutchinson Focused on Euros at 11:49:34
Rimsy : Similar strategy that Brentford have deployed for over a decade now. They got rid of their academy as their players were being cherry picked by bigger London clubs, having spent £m’s on developing these players. Not sure why we are pursuing our own academy really, as the return at the lower end of a players development is not as high as bringing in 20yr olds from big PL clubs, where the player has little hope of establishing themselves ( take note Delap!) and then selling on for a much bigger fee. |
 | News Comment | Hutchinson Focused on Euros at 11:44:25
Omari, “ my focus is on winning the Euros”…… Translation. “ My agent is seeking the best deal for me with my new PL club” Or in O’Shea’s words…… “ I’m committed to Town , for the moment” |

Good luck to him, Hes not played as much as he probably thinks he should have , and is Greaves really any better ? All the best Cam , youre clearly not staying ... |
 | News Comment | O'Shea: I'm Fully Committed to Town at the Moment at 15:25:44
There's no loyalty in this game anymore. Everyone connected directly with it is out yo get what they can make as quick as possible. And don't give me that ..." it's a short career, sh 1 t", they're ALL millionaires, so aren't hard up .... unlike I suggest, a fair few of this fan base. Contracts nean absolutely did all, yet there we ho donging players names from the terraces in complete adulation. They're probably taking the pi ss behind our backs, who knows. I feel particularly annoyed at what I feel is this sham loyalty. Well get it every season with the nabager until he does walk away. It wouldn't surprise me it we end up doing al.ost a complete rebuild this summer, as I can see a fair few looking to jump ship. It really p1sses me off. |
 | News Comment | Brentford Linked With McKenna Move Should Frank Depart For Spurs at 06:14:50
Gazell: it was McKenna who said he prefers players from the UK as foreign players often can't speak English ( he said) which causes problems in communications training sessions. Therefore he is part to blame for our lop-sided recruitment. |
 | News Comment | Tuanzebe Out of DR Congo Squad at 07:31:07
I suspect this is the same hamstring injury he had with us a few months ago. Very hard to rehab and recover from, so I suspect he'd never fully recovered from the original injury. My question is, WHY are so many of our players getting hamstring injuries, and just what are the physios NOT doing right to get these players fully fit again? |
 | News Comment | Delap's Chelsea Move Confirmed at 21:50:31
Cookieboy: I agree with you. Dve aldo dornt heaviliy in 20/22yrs old players at £20m per player and are they REALLY that good?? You have ask the question is Mark Ashton really all that at this level and PL. He has VERY rich backers to splash the cash. I remember Bristol fans not being thst complimentary about his transfer deals and leaving them in debt, and if you look bavk on his record at Watford, it raises some questions about his judgement. With regards to Toens dornding I fo question the high prices we've paid fir the likes of Muric ( a known car crash before we bought him do why did we buy him?). Philogene...£20m, really?? Phillips season long loan... what were his wages, and how much has he played for us? I suspect if in future years when the Americans cash in on their investment ITFC, the first one out the door will be Mark Ashton and id put my house on it gell and up working in the States! ..."Funny ole game Saint"! |
 | News Comment | Delap's Chelsea Move Confirmed at 21:42:40
And this whole sagap underlines everything that is is bad about the game now. Its only about money, certainly not about the fans. Delap is just yet another player on the money circus merry-go-round. He might come good, but dont be surprised if he doesn't. His agent had finevan excellent job whipping up the hype from the moment he pulled a Town shirt on. I foubt he and hus agent had any intention of remaining at Town even if we'd stayed up. Moving on now, because frankly I'm sick to death of hearing about it. |
 | News Comment | Harness: Time at Town Changed My Life Forever at 12:10:23
I'd have kept him tbh . But there you go, times are a changing and hopefully Town will recruit even better players this summer. No room for sentiment now is there. |
 | News Comment | Former Town Academy Midfielder and Coach Manning Named Norwich Boss at 18:58:35
Good luck to.him. Returning to your boyhood club ( he was born in narwich), may start well, but they are an ignorant fan vase and once they turn, that's it. As history gas shown, they turn on their managers eith an alarming frequency ..... and I dont think this appointment will be particularly different in outcome. |
 | News Comment | Delap Chelsea Medical Set For Monday at 17:41:15
We haven't made £12m profit. More like £7m ( if u read Stuart Watson interview with Ashton re someone called Delap. But let's not beat about the bush here, Town have been used as a stepping stone for this player and his agent, and it has ALWAYS been about the money! Football today stinks! |
