I have known Jeff since pre Wire Train Days and was one of 6 best men at his wedding in San Francisco in 1987. He currently resides in Nashville and still works with Sheryl Crow as well as doing a lot of production work. I saw them a couple of times on the Waterboys tour including a show at the Hammersmith Palais. I will be sure to pass your comments on to him.
A great friend of mine Jeff Trott played on the Goodbye Jumbo album and I met Karl Wallinger during the recording of that album. A great song writer and a priviledge to have met him.
Saw The Police a number of times during the late 70s but the most memorable gig was in a circus tent on Tooting Bec Common in 80/81 supported by Tommy Cooper and Wolfie Smith.
If memory serves me correct her skills were very succinctly described in Pamela Dess Barre's book I'm With The Band. If you haven't read it, give it a try. Great fun!
I stumbled upon that while channel hopping. Some great memories of a great musical era. Best for me was New York Dolls with David Johansen in full Jagger mode.
Apologies if this has already been discussed but does anyone think that the purchase of the freehold at Portman Road may be on the agenda of the new owners?
No I'm not here as a guest but as a Town fan. I grew up watching Chelmsford City who in the late 60s were one of the best non league sides and deserved to get in the Football League. Even as a kid I had a soft spot for Town which took hold when I moved to Suffolk in the early 1990s.
I was there as a 15 year old Chelmsford boy supporting Chelmsford City. Was set upon by a load of Town fans and had my scarf nicked. Anyone here like to own up?
