| Forum Reply | Our best ever academy product? at 22:12 18 Mar 2024
I don't think you can say Beattie, Wark or Burley were academy products in any way really. Probably Dyer although Bramble had a decent career and was a very good player despite the nonsense written about him at the time. |
| Forum Reply | Good goal that! (n/t) at 14:47 17 Mar 2024
Did it get a deflection of the defender's boot? The flight of the ball looked like it. |
| Forum Reply | Oh Omari (n/t) at 15:55 16 Mar 2024
Westlake being really negative about Omari, thought he had a really decent half. Not the first time he's been overly critical this season. |
| Forum Reply | How was Axel last night? at 12:14 6 Mar 2024
I thought he very much looked like a cb playing rb last night. Needs must with Clarke maybe not being 100% but I don't see him as anything but a short term fix at right back. |

Imagine how many it could have been if Wilder hadn't made the tactical substitution on 15 minutes! |

Omnishambles in defence. 14 minutes 0 - 3 |
| Forum Thread | Dani Alves at 12:38 22 Feb 2024
Found guilty of rape and sentenced to 4 years 6 months. The private prosecution was asking for 12 years, the public prosecution, 9 years. Because he deposited compensation of 150 thousand euros the judge gave him a near minimum sentence. This is despite Alves changing his story on multiple occasions, he denied it, claimed it was consensual, claimed he was drunk. The judge said there was no doubt the girl's account of events were correct, corroborated by witnesses, cctv and doctors. So this lying scumbag predator will probably spend another 18 months in jail having ruined the life of this young lady, and her family. In addition Alves' mother identified and posted a photo of the victim on social media. And Alves is likely to challenge the sentence. |
| Forum Reply | To say " forget the performance, we got the points ' at 22:40 20 Feb 2024
45 minutes of the worst we've arguably been in over 2 years doesn't constitute a pandora's box of problems. It means we had a very poor half of football and can put it right again in 4 days' time. |
| Forum Reply | Will we ever start with our 2 best strikers. ? at 22:17 20 Feb 2024
There's no way we should or will play 4-4-2 from the start. We're having an incredible run playing how we play and a blip now and again should never deflect from our strengths. |
| Forum Reply | Well that was a weird half at 21:01 20 Feb 2024
Sarmiento was all over the place, not surprised he's been subbed as I doubt that was the plan. |
| Forum Reply | Well that was a weird half at 20:49 20 Feb 2024
We have been sloppy, some weird decisions from defenders. We've given away too many free kicks and corners. Yet Rotherham haven't had another chance and we could have scored five without doing too much at all. |

Internationally she provided asylum for a fascist torture loving dictator and prolonged apartheid. Apparently she's still a hero for some. |

Completely disingenuous but you probably know that. Of course pits were closed when they became unproductive and unviable, and has little to do with who was in government. Britain is still scarred by Thatcher, not by Scargill. |
| Forum Reply | Mbappé to Madrid at 20:49 19 Feb 2024
I get that, and I assume there are a few clubs with similar revenue, but Madrid just seem to be able to stockpile high earners without outgoings. The only 2 I can think of in the last 5 years are Varane and Casemiro. |
| Forum Reply | Mbappé to Madrid at 20:42 19 Feb 2024
I think that can be filed under complete codswallop. |
| Forum Thread | Mbappé to Madrid at 18:38 19 Feb 2024
No surprise there but I just don't get how Madrid can keep signing players on huge wages (an estimated 20 million euros a year) yet they rarely sell players for serious money. They already have big earners in Alaba, Kroos and Modric, and that's without including Vinicius, Bellingham, Courtois, Camavinga, Tchouameni etc. |
| Forum Reply | Do teams do through investigations on refs too? at 11:35 19 Feb 2024
Barça were recently accused of paying the head of Spanish refereeing for preferential treatment. Barça said they were paying for reports and analysis. The amount they were paying would be bit high for simple insight you'd have thought but who knows, it's gone bit quiet on that front recently. At the very least there must be a conflict of interest. I'm sure most top clubs have dossiers on referees, it's also quite likely that at least one club would cross the line and wander into a very grey area. |

Just saw Thatcher dressed up looking like Ming the Merciless giving a speech, hadn't seen that clip before. It would be a great meme these days. |
