Ipswich Town v Sheffield Wednesday Your Report added at 18:18:11
Best performance by Omari we've yet seen, but let us not forget a few decent saved from Vas first up.
Lots of really positives form me, Mass and Sam seemed to make every 50-50 ball look like an 80-20, the backs looked good. Nathan oozed class, Kieffer gives us balance, Jackson produced the pass of the season Ali looked strong, Jeremy looked class and Omari looked out of this world.,
10/10 Town, so proud for you guys that was top class

Interesting game this one, i expected us to be less tired after Wednesday than we obviously were.
Edmundson for me looks a little beyond it at this level especially with pace so Axels arrival Wednesday is handy.
As much as I adore Massimo and Morsy in that middle together I would much rather see Taylor plus one of them now, again the season looks like it's catching up with them, and having two thirty plus players in those roles has a limited shelf life. Expect us to invest in a younger Morsy in January.
Final thoughts for the ref. I'm usually a big defender of officials, this season I think they've been way better than the shower of sh*te we had in L1, but this team were woeful. Ive given the ref 3, thats generous

Ref was fine, we looked a little lacking in sharpness without a game in almost 3 weeks, but we had enough. Simple as....

Im writing this having read the comments below and already having seen the scores. I though Hladky did brilliantly today. We are having to learn really quickly at the moment and KM is making adjustments that work.

The other thing ive noticed this season is that the standard of referees is way better in this division, and im sorry to see 5.9 for an official I thought got everything right. He let the game flow well, all the cards were correct and if people actually think that was a penalty second half for the mid air challenge on Broadhead well i'm sorry he looked 4 yards from ever getting to the ball.

The passion and endeavour is excellent, we will need another LCB and sadly another Morsy at some stage because his workrate and age point to him needing to rest a bit more, but we did what had today was quality off the bench, the pass from Williams to Omari for the third goal was excellent, Jack Taylor looks hungry and fresh and I can't wait to see Scarlett in due course.

We are a work in progress at this level, Freddie will always be a finisher although leading the line as a starter still feels like a mismatch but he did well today.

Enjoy the rest lads, 12 from 15 is punching above our weight you did us proud

Quite amazing, the noise for the first few minutes was incredible, just think what we can do with decent acoustics !
Im assuming Hladky came on so he would qualify for a medal?
Stunning day, great performance, im particularly pleased for Mark Ashton and Im glad he had his minutes with the North Stand, that was quality

So much good with the ball, but my MOM was Sam Morsy, he stops teams playing, and if theres only one team playing, theres only one winner. I lost count of the number of times he mopped up in midfield. Awesome

What on earth are these two clubs doing in L1?
A great day out, a good ground, attendance and superb atmosphere.
Harry, Nathan, Massimo and Hirsty really showing their value now, its coming together well.
The boys were out on their feet at the end, what absolute focus they showed, you could see it in their eyes getting off the team bus.
Friday we go again !!

Weve got ourselves into a great position, need some big investment now to get across the line.
Ref spoiled the game with a poor red card, we were far better against 11 than 10.Really intrigues to see if the investors and the board can land the 3-4 that we need to beef up the spine of the side and help the depth. we need a 9, a 10, a CMF and probably a CH for cover.
And give Aluko a new deal please, he was magic

Well people who questioned Burgess’ ability will have to think again, great performance and very much suited to that left of three position. I think people are very harsh in Bakinson, yes he has the odd misplaced pass, but he is loving the ball much quicker, probably quicker than his natural game, and his ability to break play up is excellent.

Interesting how people see things so differently. I too thought Carroll was excellent first half, he and Morsy are different class in there together when they move the ball on first time. Shame they all ran out of Puff.

Im glad the Referee got a good mark, best one ive seen down here for ages, wasn't fooled by diving, didnt give anything and everything like the pillock saturday and added almost 9 minutes on in teh end 2nd half when CT were rolling around dead.

Sometimes I think we see one mistake by a player and thats it, shame......

i was hoping for a bounce, we got a splat. 6 at the back two wingers and 9 and 10 in Lala land. embarrassing, a chasm n MF no penetration movement or passion bar Chaplin

Very simply you keep clean sheets by being solid in defence, where we looked great. Hugely impressed with the support again, proud of my club today and Ashtons face was a picture of intense relief that I won’t forget.

Sears and Thomas ? Seriously. Poor Parrot got so fed up with the lack of anything he went foraging in his own half, badly.
The subs were all decent, they looked energetic, inventive and positive.
Cant blame Holy, even Downes looked to have been sucked into the mire.
I remember a time when a left sided player at Town would drop his shoulder, leave his marker for dead and drop a pass onto the toes of a forward. These days we get excited when a left footed midfielder (and hes one of the good ones), drops his shoulder comes back inside and plays a 5 yard ball to his centre back, who mostly doesnt want it because theres no movement for him to work with.
