Know very little about him, only his stats which aren't impressive. 8 goals since his step up to the Hertha first team in 2020 with no goals in his last 32 appearances.
Interesting thing is though he has still been picked, regardless of his poor goals and assists tally. Shows clubs believe that he can add something positive to a game. |

Letting Ladapo leave on loan without an immediate replacement seems odd, especially given our serious lack of striker options.
We have lost four strikers this transfer window (three of which were regularly playing for the first team). No chance also of recalling Ahadme.
We are asking an awful lot now of Kayden Jackson. The guy gives his all every match, but opposition teams are going to be able to prep us easily as they'll know exactly who is going to be playing for us up front. I've seen a couple of the U21 games this season and nobody is ready yet to step up (Ayinde and Buabo could do with some time out on loan). I find the whole situation really strange and don't think things have gone anywhere near according to plan. |

Trying to stay as neutral as possible on this.
The incident itself should be condoned but could also have been easily avoided if advice had been followed. Honestly, don't know why the advice wasn't followed. But regardless, not good for that to happen to anyone. It was a mistake, which had consequences.
Doubt also that Delia expected this story (saying she was surprised there was no formal apology) to make headline news. It's a non-story, so can't understand the media hype about it.
It's an unnecessary distraction from what's going on. This is the most important season for us in decades, let's not get sidetracked by strangeness.

Worth remembering that we were League 1 last season and we haven't made many changes to that team. Leeds Utd were in the Premier League, have a wage bill that dwarfs our own and a strike force that costs more than our entire squad.
Like Plymouth did last year in League 1, we've been the surprise package. Very few people expected Plymouth pre-season to get into the top 6, let alone win the league. Our squad has also done the impossible so far and shaken up most people's predictions (1-Leicester, 2-Leeds, 3-Southampton). We've done incredibly well to be 7 points clear in 2nd place at Xmas.
Yes, result was a shocker. Only a few weeks back Portsmouth got badly beaten at home (5 or 6-1) and they came back with a string a solid wins after. We need to dig deep, beat Leicester and do the same. We don't that gap to shrink to 4 points. |

I have no idea where the figure for Leeds spending 99M comes from. It's more likely that fans are talking about the annual wage bills of the two clubs (around 43M for Leeds before the Piroe permanent deal and 8.2M for Ipswich before the Williams loan signing).

You make some very good points. It would be good to know what the season expectations are. If it's top half= we are doing very well. If it's bottom half= we are doing very well. If it's avoiding relegation= also doing very well. Honestly, I'd love it if our expectation was top 6 but I'd doubt that'd be the case. I'm guessing it's more about consolidation this season and making sure that we are well away from any possibility of relegation.
Ipswich vs Leeds: thought both teams played well. We were caught out defensively and we know that's an area where we need a new signing. Leeds look very sharp and good for a top 2 place (some top, top players in their squad). We matched them for long periods of the game but can't match them when it comes to squad depth. Good effort by the team and I'd have taken 9 points after 4 games pre-season.
We are doing better than Sheffield Wednesday and Plymouth. |

Resilient performance against what turned out to be a very tough side. Very lucky to go into half-time 0-0 and second half we were much brighter. Vladky was (again) a key player and for me - Man of the Match. Like most other posters have said, we do still need 2/3 game changing signings if we are intending to battle for a top six spot. Luck went with us today, it won't always. |
