 | News Comment | Town Confirm Bonne to Stay For Season at 02:34:28
Good news. Still possible player of the season at this point (alongside Walton and Aluke). Unless of course Norwood scores every game from now until the end of the season! |

Excellent result and well played team! Early days but right now we have a Manager with 100% win record. Rare for us as we usually never see new manager "bounce" (in fact we've always seen the opposite). Five goals scored in 2 games and none conceded. Couple more wins and we are back in that battle for sixth spot. |

Season has disappeared for us but a much better performance which was important after what happened against Charlton and Barrow. Rebuilding for next season starts now. Interesting transfer windows ahead (Jan and the Summer). Hopefully players will be more with it next season. |
 | News Comment | McGreal: No Doubt the Guys Will Be Galvanised at 23:04:22
Hope we can win this one. Even if it's a lucky result, I'd like to see McGreal win 1 of the 4 games he was in charge of (in 10 years time all we have is the stats, little knowledge or time to find out what was going on). Win this one for a good guy who has always given his all for the club. I'm happy with the appointment even though I know little about McKenna. I think time and effort has been put into making this decision and it's a good one. Need now to have little expectation and let him get on with running the team until the end of the season. We won't be able to tell for some time if things are going in the right or wrong direction. A few players do need to be moved on In Jan and we do need strengthening in a few key positions. Good luck to the new management team and hope your time here will bring us some success. |

Worst performance of the season I'd say and that includes the Bolton game. Walton made sure it wasn't a 5 or 6 goal margin so great performance from him. Rest of team....dearie me... |

Thanks for your time at Portman Road : Francis Jeffers, Gary Roberts, Ian Craney and John Keeley. And good luck John McGreal. |
 | News Comment | Manager Cook Sacked at 20:16:37
Inevitable unfortunately given the age we live in now (all about fast success). Seems a genuine good guy and very sad hasn't worked out for him and us. Something clearly hasn't clicked. Is it the background staff/training? Who knows. More change and more time to gel up ahead. Far from an ideal scenario. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-5 Bolton Wanderers - Match Report at 00:44:38
Rarely see myself (ever) agreeing with monkeyblue but 4 wins in 24 in this division is a truly shocking statistic. Will try to stick to positives and negatives. Positives Aluko did ok. Donacien also ok after coming on for KVY. Burns always looks threatening with his runs. Bonne works hard and offers real goal threat. Coulsen sometimes good going forwards. Negatives Too many to mention (look at all posts above). @GrantOB92- Walton shipped 5 goals, hardly a noteworthy debut. Expectations were really high this season and it looks like they were merely that; expectations. Season disappearing very fast down the kitchen sink. We do have enough in this squad to stay up (relegation seems highly unlikely). However, if we continue to grind out these results we could be in for nervous times ahead. Don't care about the West Ham game, we need at least 4 points from the next two games to give us some breathing space away from the relegation zone. Will our owners expectations also change due to our recent firm? Hard to tell. We look a long, long way from being a top six side. Defence needs sorting out ASAP, they are letting the rest of the team down. And if I was an opposition manager right now I would be relishing playing us (Wycombe must realise they made a mistake cancelling that game). Just put men in the box and cross the ball in and watch chaos ensue. And fire some shots in from 35/40 yards= always a chance against our defence. Strikers will be looking to add to their tallies against us. |

Very splintered support here and very interesting comparing this report and the report entitled something like "cook says players need time to gel". Almost two different forums! People who are showing support for Cook here are picking up loads of minuses (needs more time posts) whilst those who are critical are getting loads of up votes. Look at the other post and the exact opposite is happening! Londontractorboy= I supported MM through to the end but his time was up. There were only a handful of fans in the end who believed he should carry on. Past is past, we move on. Results haven't been great but we are 3 league games in. Plenty of time to turn this ship around. |
