Look on the bright side, with Wickham out for 6 weeks, stead is probly the best striker we have to replace him. On his day stead can be a very good striker and is more than capable to scoring goals for us next season. I would love to see Micheal Chopra here but at the moment does not look like it is going to happen, so we either have to gamble on another striker or stick with what we have.
We need people to get behind the team not moaning about them all the time

Soo George Burley has been in a job for a week and has already made his first signing, Roy Keane on the other promised 4 or 5 signing and has had since the end of last season and we still havent signed anybody.
I am a fan of Roy Keanes, but everyother club in the league seem to be signing players and we arent, this is the same story every transfer window and is starting to get very boring now. |

I for one would be delighted if Chopra was to sign but i dont get some people on here all season they moan about not having a goal proven goal scorer and then when we are supposedly close to signing one they still have something to moan about! beats me.

He has said himself that he is not going anywhere and also his Dad has said exactly the same thing and if people think that we will be selling him to raise funds for Chopra, i personally think we can afford the fee its just the wages which will be a problem. But with Stead, Priskin, Martin, Bruce, Lisbe, Quinn, Healy and Conuago all expected to leave and both of the Wrights wages off the books I would have thought we would be able to afford his wages after all them have gone, and why is Keane going to want to let Wickham go when he is getting rid of half his strikers anyway!!

I agree with the comment above, I went to the suffolk show last week and listened to Cleggs interview and for one moment it didnt sound like Keane was going to get the sack.
