They haven't fixed the 'likely to burst into fire' recall on yours yet, but it has been fixed on the new ones available from mid Sept, hence why they're more expensive? |
 | Forum Reply | Seen a lot of talk of Godfrey being crap on Friday... at 11:05 16 Sep 2025
As I said on another thread, re Philogene 3rd goal. He had scored two with his right foot and every defender is trained to force a player onto his weaker foot. Godfrey did that for the 3rd, he kept in front of Philogene's right foot, but Philogene switched to his weaker left foot and smashed it into the net. When a footballer is in that form in a game you need help from another player. Same with the runs from Leif, not a single SU player tracked Leif, that added to Godfrey's problems. If Philogene had played the ball to Leif and Leif had scored a couple, people would blame the FB, Godfrey, for allowing Leif to run beyond him. Look at the 2nd goal, Godfrey had moved Philogene across the pitch, there were CBs and midfielders there, and not one got a block in. Yes, Godfrey was poor, but Philogene was unstoppable. |

The funny part is, Rangers isnt upwards from Southampton. Scottish league football is a show of shlt and no better than English non league football. Going to Rangers was definitely a massive step down for Martin. |

Inkjet printers, the worst invention ever. Tiny pins which by default clog up if surrounded by thicker liquid and not used regularly (ie daily). It was a known problem when first mass produced in the 80s and 40 years later the issue persists. I wonder how many people have said 'f**k look at that printout, some lines unreadable, some smudged and the last two lines fine'. Then to add to the fun, someone will tell you, its because you've used cheap cartridges. Nope, the same happens with the expensive manufacturer ones. |

Only playing 2 in midfield always has relegation written all over it in the PL. He needs to change his formation |
 | Forum Reply | Let’s get this season started… at 13:48 15 Sep 2025
I agree with that overall but I will make a couple of points. Leif cuased loads of my problems with his runs from deep, and no SU player tracked him back, which added to Godfrey's problems. Philogene's first two goals came from his right foot. Defenders are always told to force the player onto their weaker foot, which Godfrey did for Philogene's third goal. He stayed on Philogene's right, who then suddenly switched left and smashed an even harder shot with his weaker left foot. Yes Godfrey was poor, but especially for the third I dont care who was RB, on the night Philogene was unstoppable, and no RB can defender against a player with two great feet in that situation, you need help. It was as much about Philogene's ability as Godfrey poor performance. |

That's why you try and get one of those free newspapers at the airport before getting on a Ryanair flight |

I actually think a few seasons in the Championship will prepare them better for the PL, aka Brentford. Our problem was we went up too quickly. Not that I'm complaining about promotion to the PL. |

Both costing tax payers millions And more importantly, stopping those of us who live in London getting police for things like house burglary. Both should be banned and they should f**k off and march in the areas they live and let us London'ers have the police to police crimes in London. |

You're comparing the Prem with the Championship, two completely different leagues [Post edited 13 Sep 22:03]

West Ham was a disaster before he joined, sometimes it takes a long time to turn a team ofm humans around - its not a computer game |
 | Forum Reply | Cajuste and Matisuwa were outstanding last night. at 11:41 13 Sep 2025
Now firstly let me say Cajuste had a good game, but I actually thought it was Cajuste's least effective game so far this season. He has set the bar high admittedly, but in that first 20mins he only touched the ball 2 or 3 times. With one of those being one of his wonderful step overs/side move/bomb forward, but SU pinched the ball off him and created a dangerous moment from it. Second half he was more effective. |

One thing I will give him credit for, is he does seem to get hit with some bad tackles, but just gets up and gets on with it. |

He was better in the air than I thought he would be. Ok maybe he wasn't up against an aggressive forward, but I don't recall him losing a single header last night. |

'Put a shift', as they say. Work rate is very high and underrated. Did a lot of tracking back, helping Furlong. What I like about him is he sticks to the wing, which was stretching SU. He will need some time, as do all players, to fully understand when one of our players will run/won't run. He had a chance to play Hirst in, but conversely against Derby he played a lovely quick ball through expecting Hirst to run but Hirst didn't, and Derby immediately cleared and fans moaned. That understanding will come, same as the Burns/Hirst understanding took time. |

Getting better every game. Just one area needs tweaking, to stay calm after a great tackle. He did it twice tonight, great tackle & wins the ball, and then passed it straight to a SU player. But KM will work on that. |
 | Forum Reply | Ben Godfrey at 22:40 12 Sep 2025
He was bad. Although Philogene would receive the ball, Leif would then go bombing forward and no SU player tracked Leif, which always left Godfrey with 2 players. But still.. when Philogene went left Godfrey went the opposite direction, so he didn't help himself. |

 | Forum Reply | There are people on here who think O’Shea is better than Wolf at 08:10 10 Sep 2025
Both have good and bad points. My argument against O'Shea last season is we bought him for £20m (if you include addons) to replace Wolf, who we had for free, was O'Shea a 20x better player than Wolf, No. Was he even a slight improvement on Wolf, No Hence I always felt we could have remained with Wolf and spent O'Shea's £20m on a different position, and it wouldn't have a negative on our defensive performances. Once O'Shea was named captain this season, then Wolf knew his playing time was only going to be cup games and/or if O'Shea was injured. |
