back from the garden centre. people have stopped bothering
at 12:08 25 May 2020

It's been getting worse since the second week of lockdown, a huge percentage of people in this country were never going to accept a long lockdown and anyone who thought they would are living in a dream world.

at 20:47 24 May 2020

I've been saying for ages Ashley is going to buy Town, hope he does as it will keep all the fans happy who keep calling for Evan's to sell to anyone, hopefully it will bring the fans together

That's not how it works in the UK if it did I think every PM would have resigned before the end of their term

If you voted Tory at last Election, what do you genuinely think of this govt?
at 19:55 24 May 2020

All governments have good and bad things about them, I've seen so many but I've never seen a perfect one and i never expect one to be perfect because no individual or group has ever perfect. The important thing for me is the best pieces are greater than the bad pieces. I think they've done a lot right so far and in the end you have to vote on what is available and at the last GE Labour wasn't a an option especially Corbyn's inability to make a decision. After the shltshower on Blair and Brown, Labour had a chance to change but the Labour membership picked the wrong leader.
Starmer has started well but we'll have to see what his policies are, you aren't going to win a GE purely on asking questions.
Plus in 4+ years things will be different ie will a party want to take us back into the EU and adopting the Euro?

What a disappointing season.
at 21:04 21 May 2020

I agree. I always think Town will win the league at the start of every season and while I wasn't expecting it to be a walk in the park I was expecting a positive season and easily a top 6 finish.
Especially after last season I was looking forward to some excitement and a coming together of the fans and to be fair PL did get the fans back together for a short period.

As a club we should admit the MM mistake and get him back here as manager, he will guarantee us promotion.

Why does the league have to finish in May and start again in August
at 14:29 21 May 2020

Surely if you leave it too late next season would run into the following season and thrown in Euro 2020 and then a second wave of the virus and possibly at that rate you could end up starting season 2023-2024 in 2025

Positives of Lock down
at 13:48 21 May 2020

It's been great to see so much wildlife in London especially birds although the lack of take-aways being thrown onto pavements/roads is clearly having an impact on the fox population as I've never seen so few as recently.

I'm told public transport is wonderful most of the time as hardly anyone on it outside of rush hour.

Less drug sellers generally around on the streets and less anti social behaviour and knife crime while still occurring much less than normal

However missing being able to pop to the pub for a lunchtime beer especially on days like today. But we know with the return of pubs we'll see the increase in crime and people visiting A&E

School return
at 12:49 21 May 2020

I do sort of get your argument about traumatised, but how long do you leave it for? A vaccine could be a year away if not longer, if you leave it until Sept there will still be a need to social distance in schools, even with track and trace. You cannot keep kids out of school for over a year, as the WHO said we will have to learn to live with it and accept the risks.

I'm not even sure Starmer will be Labour leader at the next election. He has the honeymoon period at the moment but he will have to change some policies to show he isn't a Corbyn image the trouble then is will it start Labour infighting. If the saying is a week in politics is a long time, 4 and a half years is a generation.
If I was having a bet I would put a few pounds on neither BJ or KS being leader of their party come the next GE

An awful lot of people who worked at Bletchley Park have died
at 10:32 18 May 2020

We need a public inquiry, the German's have never forgiven Bletchley Park for turning the war in favour of the Allies, have they used Covid-19 and the VE celebrations as a cover to eliminate them? Merkel has been very quiet lately, we need an investigation asap.
