Marcel Ruiz has no interest in joining us…
at 19:52 16 Jul 2025

Once his agent understands how much cash he will earn from the transfer Ruiz will suddenly want to join us.

It was inevitable

When we reached the PL we knew some were coming towards the end of their careers/jury out if they could perform at PL. Then relegation followed so some better players will want to move back to the PL. Plus relegated clubs always lose some players/forced to sell and we're no different to the likes of Leeds, Burnley, Leicester, Southampton in recent seasons.
It was inevitable we would lose players

Sad as it is, we need to refresh if we want to gain promotion and stay in the PL.

But sell players for good money and reinvest. None of our players are Messi, Ronaldo or Thijssen, they can be replaced with players of the same calibre or better.

London Standard say we're holding out for £40m
at 13:18 16 Jul 2025

If they offer £40m take it.

I'm still slightly confused by it all. I didn't think he had a great season last season, I would mark it as average. Many fans, including on TWTD, questioned his input regularly. Kept running into players, didn't pass when he should, then passed when he shouldn't. I appreciate value is often based on potential, but £40m would be crazy to turn down.

McAtee is apparently leaving City for £25m, there are other options out there, £40m you can not turn down.

Brentford know what they're doing
at 13:04 16 Jul 2025

Gnonto went on strike at Leeds 2 seasons ago because he wanted a move to the PL. Leeds told him to swivel, as he was under contract and they would only sell if it benefit the club. He was very unhappy, but eventually stopped crying and came off strike and started playing/enjoying it again.

Appears Morsy is off to Kuwait

Well knock me down with a feather, I was convinced he would start the season with us. *If he does leave
But money is money, sounds like a good financial move for him.

So important we don't let morsy leave
at 21:33 13 Jul 2025

I dont think we will from the start of the season, give the new players the chance to get up to speed. But I can see him leaving in the Jan window as I think by that point he will be starting on the bench.

What he meant was... We offered it, and the barstewards took it without offering a multi billionaire dollar investment in my football school that only employs myself and a couple of family members, they just took it.

I'm confused, he told UEFA he had no input to the overall running of CP??

That was CPs defence for not kicking them out of the Europa cup, are you telling me Textor didn't tell the truth

Ive said it before and I'll say it again... Morsy will start the season here but I'll be surprised if he finishes it here.
We'll be heading towards the PL as the season progresses and Morsy isn't going to be good enough for the PL. The new CMs will become the starting CMs with Morsy on the bench. Given his age he will want to be starting games, a move abroad will happen in the Jan window

If you believe the rumours... 2 years ago Brighton had him valued at £50m, last season they had dropped that to £30m-35m. That was based on just on his injury record but his ability as you say had gone backwards. They didn't have any takers, so loaned him out to West Ham. The reasoning was Potter when at Brighton had got him playing his best football, so if anyone could get that ability back Potter could.

But Potter didn't improve him and even in training (rumours) he didn't look anything special, ability, timing, even strength was missing. Hopefully the kid gets back to form, but lots of fans worried about Hirst injury record are now championing a second injury prone striker using up a space in the squad of 25. I'm sure those same fans will be the first to moan if we're starting games with only one fit striker, AAH.

Brentford and Mckenna
at 14:14 12 Jul 2025

Totally incorrect.

My oldest mate has numerous contacts at Brentford. Brentford for many years have had a fan representative on their Board of Directors, my mate was that representative for 3 years. Now he doesn't know everything going on there, but 100% he knows that KM was never interviewed for the Brentford coach role
Nobody outside of Brentford was

Brentford model is they recruit from within, same when Smith left and Frank got the role. Same then media full of shlt about person A & B being interviewed and nobody was.
If Frank had taken the entire coaching team then that might have been different.

The Brentford model is different from most clubs. Brentford don't have a manager they have a coach - Frank was always officially the coach at Brentford, they never ever called him a manager. That's because that individual doesn't have a say on which players the club buys. Yes, he will say ie 'I need a RB' but its Brentford's data analysing/ recruiting team who identifies/buys a player and he is given to the coach to coach. A model that has made Brentford very successful.
Brentford know a lot of managers wouldn't work under that model, they would want a final say. Which is why Brentford prefer to recruit from within as their coaching staff already work under that model.

Hive mind- crows

Apparently more people get confused between rook and crow than any other birds.

Second is confusion between moorhen and coot

Third swift and swallow.

Personally I always got confused between a Little and Tawny owl.

Although reports this morning US aviation investigators identified at issue with the fuel control switches on a different model, where they failed and went into the cut-off position without human interaction. They had advised they should be checked on all models, although appears to be confusion if that check was advisory or mandatory

Scouting Network
at 09:31 12 Jul 2025

Combination of things I would say.

The media coverage we had with the PL promotion.
The owners investing in a scouting network.
Agents keen to sell a player to Town, before Phil can dismiss it on TWTD.
Being out of the PL allows us to be Brighton's feeder club again with their scouting network.
