Interesting you get 5 upvotes, I posted about a big rebuild a few months back and got the opposite response. In MCK we trust as they say as in a years time I believe every player would have come through or been signed under his watch. Most importantly he has to get this new side firing fast as there is no time to lose in the Championship. |

Interesting stats, but £7.5m should be accepted without question otherwise we face another Burgess situation. |

Difficult to judge as not sure what team Charlton had but very impressed with Barbrook but think he likely needs a good loan. Humphreys again did well but not sure he's top end Championship. Really hope Hackney signs tbh. |
 | Forum Thread | Finally out of the car park so thoughts on last night at 06:43 30 Jul 2025
Firstly, I hate out of town stadiums, I am so pleased we have PR and have invested heavily into it recently. For context I am equidistant from both grounds at PR I never leave before the end and am home by 5.30 on a Saturday. In comparison got home at 11.15 last night which is ludicrous. Hard to read too much into a friendly as I am guessing Charlton were not full strength and our starters were likely second XI? My positives were: Cipre - what a beast, I can see him being Edmundson this year by coming in for certain games to nullify someone. That said would happily have him in first Xi. Barbrook/Humphreys - both did well and did the Morsy collecting pass from the keeper well, liked the look of Barbrook but think both maybe a little lightweight for top end Championship, Barbrook looks a prospect and hope that he gets a decent loan to progress this year. Al Hamadi - Tries hard, you can't fault the lad and eventually got his goal and displayed so nice touches at times but equally some very poor ones and finishes as well. Third choice striker at best, sorry Ali. Ashley Young - Thought he looked very assured, despite the moans here very happy with him, hope he can teach Johnson/Clarke a thing or two. Jack Clarke - great goal really hope he gets a consistent run and gets going this season. Ogbene - good runner but we need to put balls in the box, far too many times we get in an attacking position and do a Man City and pass, pass, pass back. Hutch - tbh never thought I'd see him in a Town shirt again. Hackney - reading we had agreed a deal after game. Negatives: Muric - the booing was uncalled for, wasn't happy with that. Baggot - negative is harsh, he did a few good things but sadly he's not going to make the grade. We had a lot of possession in first half but created very little with it, we need to be more incisive, really annoys me when we don't cross the ball when in good positions. Overall, a win so will take that, it's been a long time since I saw one in the flesh. |

If Omari is definitely staying then for £7.5m upwards I say yes we have plenty of cover and is quite injury prone. Yes a great player on his day but also has spells where the game just passes him by. |
 | Forum Reply | Disappointed but not surprised. at 06:23 30 Jul 2025
Yes, it was definitely audible and not on. There were a few audibles I heard blaming him for the goal which was ridiculous. Equally a few very audible when he made a few good saves but he doesn't make me feel confident with ball at feet to be honest. This one is a real problem now as he cost a lot of money and we'd do well to get anywhere near half back but fear he is the prime 'boo boy' now and short of breaking Burnley's clean sheet record not sure whatever he does will be good for some. |

Maybe, staying here, having 20+ goal involvements and winning championship player of the season along with promotion would really set him up for a fantastic 206/27 season? |

Initially I didn't even receive a code and secondly yes I did as you say. Very disappointing. |

I subscribed a few weeks ago, doesn't show up despite having email confirmation of payment. Emailed ticket office as never received a code for Aberdeen game, they forwarded me a code that didn't work and referred me to digital subscription with no details. Absolutely hopeless to be honest. |

A woeful Saints side that took 4 points from us, be worrying if he does turn them around. |
