Not sure why people have a problem with Dozzell - had a pretty decent game and starting to take up more forward and threatening positions. If the goal was the problem, the person who should've been marking Wyke was Woolfenden who went awol at a key moment.

In defence of Toto, this was the the top attacking unit in the league. One mistake by him with a player moving at pace in the box, and we lost the game because of a mistake by McGuiness. Has to be better than when Wolfenden was playing (what has gone wrong with him this season?) when bottom of the table teams were getting a series of free shots and headers inside the box.
Our problem is not the defence but the lack of goal threat. Drinan did a lot of running and held the ball up quite well outside the box, but didn't look a threat inside it penalty area. A lack of penetration out wide didn't help – at least until late on when Thomas came on and Edwards suddenly started to look more effective. Nolan also seemed to add a lot late on.
Overall a better performance and probably could have gone either way – unfortunately Peterborough got the luck.Going to have to keep improving if there is any chance of a top six place.

Midfield was overrun for most of the game – surely Huws would provided a bit more bite than Judge who seems to get selected whatever the performance he puts in.

Ipswich Town v Rotherham United Your Report added at 23:48:35
Looks like our season is gong to depend on whether Flynn Downes stays fit. Two game without him and two games with a powder puff midfield. A very physical Rotherham outran us and out-muscled us and could easily have won by a lot more than two goals. They were first to every loose ball - their goals coming after they pressured us into mistakes. Without Downes you would have hoped that Skuse would control the defensive midfield, but I thought he had a particularly anonymous game. It is difficult for defenders when there is no midfield protection, and no one in midfield coming to take the ball from them when they are in possession. Huws was just about the pick of a poor midfield until he was taken off.
How come Georgiou never starts as he was by far the pick of the Town players, at least looking like he could make something happen? Jackson at least ran hard, although to little effect. Keane finding it difficult to get into the game, but he got almost no decent service. After the last two performances against physical sides, everyone is going to be trying to rough us up.

Ipswich Town v Bristol City Your Report added at 22:34:41
Interesting to see where team selection goes for Nottingham Forest. Surely Lambert will have to start making a few changes after this showing. Bart had a shocker but it sounds as though Lambert will stick with him – I seem to remember he wasn't keen on Gerkin at Colchester, although that may have been because he wanted to move him out over wages following their demotion from the championship. Spence was all over the place, but Lambert is insisting that Donacien is a centre back.
Lambert says likes the midfield work rate, but they lack both creativity and defensive solidness. Skuse has been rejuvenated under Lambert, so does Chalaboah or Downes make way - and for who? Sadly Dozzell doesn't seem to be impressing enough and will Bishop last long enough to justify a starting position? Edwards is falling to push on from early hints of promise – but it is Lankester ready for a start, or do we go back to Ward and see whether Lambert can transform his game as he has with Sears?
Roberts is clearly limited up front but he has chased hard and held up some ball – and the attack has faded away once he has gone off. Jackson hasn't impressed me – can't head the ball and is touch is not good enough, I fear. Harrison did a lot of running against Bristol but most of it was around the midfield and to little effect with Jackson in the central striker position.
I don't think Lambert can pick the same team for a fifth game though after the way they self-destructed against Bristol.

and a commendable debut from Roberts. He is probably not the answer in the medium term but he at least gave the attack some focus, winning headings for other to feed off and chasing down Preston players. Enabled Sears to look a much better player. A disappointing performance from Edwards though who struggled to get into the game.

First half was best I have seen from Sears for a long time. Penington looking very assured at the back with a fantastic tackle at the end to save the draw. Downes probably edging the midfield which managed to control a potentially more skilful Preston midfield. Preston goal was a great finish but Bart somewhat at fault for buying the dummy. Gallagher shaped to bend it over the wall but then hit it into the corner on Bart's side.
