Thinking of a trip to Sicily, does the TWTD hive mind have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance

Yes, same issue for me with the zooming in. Makes it borderline unusable.

Good aways next season?
at 10:32 21 Apr 2025

Sheffield wed and / or united are good.
Cardiff I’ve never been for football but it’s a fun night out.
I went to Hull last season for the first time and enjoyed it much more than expected. Helped that it was a great game but Hull itself has a lot going on in the area down by the docks. Bit like a mini Liverpool round there.

Oh and how could I forget, Birmingham. St Andrews is a dump but lots to do in the city itself.

Bad luck, only Ok signings, poor finishing...
at 13:11 2 Apr 2025

Agree it looked possible but not sure ever likely? Even after beating Chelsea on 30th Dec we were in the bottom 3.

But agreed on your other points. I would also add a lack of streetwise/dark-arts/playing the ref and ability to see games out, as we have had done to us on so many occasions.

And, an extension of your signings point, a lack of physical strength and pace which seemingly every Premier League team has in abundance.

McKenna HAD a lot of credit in the bank...
at 18:19 15 Mar 2025

I’m presuming you’re either trolling or incredibly overly emotional. You might be able to make a case that his credit would be back to zero if we were 11th in League One where he found us, not 18th in the premier league. But even then he’d have given us the best moments of the last 20 years along the way. In summary,, stop talking bullocks.

Guessing you mean 1990 as every one of those players was born in ‘90 not ‘93…

KOA Podcast
at 23:03 27 Jan 2025

I always go to Blue Monday first and, if it finishes and I’m still commuting or doing whatever I’m doing, I’ll listen to KOA. But it’s never my first port of call.
It always feels more to me like BM are the pros and KOA the amateurs, which is ironic as in reality it’s the opposite. Exception being Stuart who is consistently on the money, as others have said.

Did you manage to find this on a flight tracker website? I was having a look (slow afternoon) but couldn't find any STN-LIV flights showing this afternoon.

Chant Of The Night…..

I was irked by "how s--t must you be we we're winning away"...

Brighton are an established, very good Premier League side. They have had an incredible decade including European football and numerous top half Prem finishes.

They are also 6th this season's away form table with 4 wins and 4 draws. They've only lost 3 games away from home.

They also won away from home 4 days ago in the cup...

Leave the self-deprecating humour to those that have the right to it! Have i missed something here...

Three Town representatives in Deeney’s TOTW!

Also says he “took a nice yellow card for the team when he needed to”, but I’m pretty sure he got booked for his scuffle with Gusto near the end of the game rather than for a tactical foul…

January Transfer Targets
at 17:48 28 Dec 2024

If KP is getting back to fitness (which he seemed to be last night, thought he played well and think that’s his first full match for us?) I wonder if we’ll wait for the CDM til the summer - I.e. to see which league we will be in and whether we will have Cajuste staying. Other three positions completely agree, with CF being the clear priority of the three, albeit all three important.

I did think it was funny hearing this from my seat in what should have been their away end. I wouldn’t have got a ticket if it wasn’t for them being tinpot and selling back tickets to us. Only enjoyably moment of the last 10 mins or so.

I feel the same right now. Proper gee’d up by Sunday’s performance.

But in the back of my mind still cautious that this is the Prem and things can turn against you very quickly. If we can get a win in the next 2 games I’ll really start to believe we can do this.

Tip of the day
at 22:50 30 Sep 2024

I drove to Portman Road for the first time ever yesterday (lived walking distance as a kid and now always either get the train if I’m day tripping or stay over at my folks’). Parked in cardinal park and it took the best part of an hour to get to Wherstead Road but I wasn’t really expecting anything else. Was still back home in Saaf London by about 7 which I didn’t think was too horrendous. But I definitely would not be opting to sit in that traffic week in week out if I had any other transport option.

Russell Martin's woes
at 22:27 30 Sep 2024

Really was. At least it would have been if I didn’t dislike him so vehemently for being a prize twot. As it was I quite enjoyed it.

As Micky says he was “blaming himself” when quite obvious to anyone watching he was doing the complete opposite and chucking his players under the bus. Absolute night and day from a McKenna interview, we should thank our lucky stars once more.

Will club still let me reassign season ticket to a family member for a match?
at 20:31 3 Sep 2024

Yes, I did this on my old man’s ticket for Liverpool as he was on an ill-timed holiday. Could change it to an adult for the princely sum of £5.42.

Breaking a journey to Scotland from London
at 07:31 25 Jul 2024

Which part of Scotland as that might determine where would be a good stopping point?

As a kid when we used to drive up to the west coast from Ipswich as a family we always used to stop at the Royal Oak in Appleby, for some reason, so I have fond memories of it. Pretty little town albeit best avoided the week of the annual horse fair unless you want a slightly livelier experience https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appleby_Horse_Fair
