Craft beer has disappeared up its own generic arse
at 08:49 23 Aug 2025

I was into it for a bit but nothing in the last 25 years has tasted as good as adnams broadside on tap when i was 16 in woodbridge.

I'm on p1ss weak australian lager now and loving it.

So starting 11 against Preston
at 08:42 23 Aug 2025

Palmer
O'shea kipre greaves
Young matusiwa taylor davis
Chaplin philogene
Hirst

2 big boys up top for them so think kipre may start. Young as wing back could be fun but i'mnot against johnson or ogbene doing the same job. Their first goal against leicester was a big ball into right channel so either we need to keep davis back or give him some help, hence 3 at the back. Only philogene and chappers have really impressed in the attacking midfield so far (although ogbene has shown what he can do in moments) so i'd go with those 2 behind hirst.

I've been getting pulled up on that rule for years in sunday league when i try to shove the whole wall out of the way. It's funnier if you could see how small i am. Mind you australia amateur football has weirdly got sin bins for dissent.

Who we got lined up if broady and omari go?
at 01:05 17 Aug 2025

Well played.

Given there was no 2025 version, no-one can accuse you of getting his name from football manager either!

Bit disappointed if I’m being honest
at 07:38 15 Aug 2025

Personally i'm not giving broadhead grief because:
a) he's contributed more (extra 6 months at the club helps) and given me more happy memories than omari
b) he made himself available in the important game at brum
c) sounds like the wrexham deal has been done for a while and it was ipswich who were delaying, instead of him refusing to play while waiting for a bid
d) given the deal was done, i believe the club would have decided to rest him tuesday even if he'd made himself available, so as not to scupper it.

I prefer to think the best of people. I don't think most are annoyed with omari because he's black. It's because he's being an unprofessional fackwit.

One player who clearly wants to be here
at 22:50 14 Aug 2025

Feels like you missed a bit of the nuance. In a few weeks where there have been a few examples of players who aren't sure they want to play for ipswich, i was praising the effort of a player who put in 100% effort at bromley away in the mickey mouse cup. I think that says a lot for the guy's motivation and character.

One player who clearly wants to be here
at 21:28 14 Aug 2025

Conor chaplin. Worth a start for me on sunday if he's not too knackered.

Omari doesn't want to be here, azon would rather be in spain, jens cajuste took his sweet time checking out every other club in europe before coming here...

Chappers put in a proper shift on tuesday (unlike some others). I like seeing good players play for town but i also want to watch people that love playing for us. Chappers is both so let's put him in the team now and leave him there.

Could we gazump another one?

He was brilliant against us first game back in the championship. But there must be a reason he's done nothing since.

I don't think any team makes all the signings they want of the quality they want. They have to make compromises.

Some fans get that it's a bit more complicated. Quite long-sighted actually.

Brum result in context of this afternoon
at 03:04 10 Aug 2025

We did look nervous, as can be expected after a season of being battered every week. We were in our shells for most of the game. Don't mean to get too OTT but not losing was massive, and could (we'll never really know) be the most important result in a promotion-winning season.

Sadly, i could say the same for southampton. They looked in worse shape than us though. We can exploit their defence next week. Kieffer moore scared the life out of edwards, and quarshie was all over the place.

Moving on then...team for Bromley?
at 09:18 9 Aug 2025

Doubt he'll start barbrook and humphreys together but hope both play a part. Baggott too. If he can't get a game at bromley, then when?

Some of our players must feel confused/annoyed about how this is panning out. Woolfie and chappers were first choice when we got promoted and now we're back in the champ and they're grateful for a start in the carabao cup?

Good teams play badly but still pick up points-
at 08:34 9 Aug 2025

I had the same thought about the cramp.

I think the two things can be true at the same time. They are a good team who will go well and we were slightly off it.
