Think it shows the importance of Hirst for the structure of the team. His hold up play gets the best out of Broadhead, Chaplin and Burns. Fingers crossed we sign someone with similar attributes to Hirst, this week |

Feeling for and reaching out to American firefighters this morning. After years of unblemished, selfless and heroic service, always putting The Public above their own needs. They have been reduced to relying on the Ipswich results for financial security in their sunset years. |

What happens to players whose contracts expire in 2021 but the club has an option of a further year.? For instance, Bishop, Sears, Jackson...If the options were taken up would the contracts count as the ‘league average’ or would the actual wages be counted? Thinking this would have a significant bearing on which players were retained or released if it was another season in League 1. |

Awful. Would give it a lot of bluster, without guarantee of success, for instance, his time at Leeds. Where he has had success, it has been limited. Cardiff, for example, promotion but in the end left them exactly where he found them. On top of his track record, he totally lacks class along with a turgid style of football. Appointing him would be as far away as you can get from the Corinthian days of the Cobbolds. |

Tremendous, memories, thank you so much for sharing. Despite our current plight, it is a timely reminder of what a special club Ipswich is. |

The missus has been telling me it’s up-and-coming, since I met her. She’s been about the place since the late nineties. I’ve only known it for the last five years, since Poundland and Asda moved into the high street. We love it. For now, locals and the incoming gentry rub along and there’s a pretty open welcome, be it in the cash-only bars and pubs, vegan bars and cafes, the pie and mash shops or the bars serving ales from the local microbreweries. |

Encapsulated the season, played really well first half, then gave away three preventable goals. Chambers - the penalty (though wasn’t a free kick leading up); Spence inexplicably let the ball go out for a corner and Pennington just needed to hoof the ball upfield. A league 1 team with Lambert as manager, including: Kenlock, Downes, Bishop, Dozzell, Lancaster, Harrison (who was very good today) and possibly Nydam could be an interesting watch, with potential to develop. |
