That's fair enough. I get the dislike of all the 'Hollywood' bull that comes with it but in terms of running a football club, they have done a very impressive job in my opinion. |

Have you watched the documentary? I'd guess not from your reply but give it a watch as I felt similar before watching it! They've actually been very sensible in their approach and what they have done to the local community is pretty impressive. |

Not a moment as such but his performance at home against Man United this season is up there for me. He bullied their midfield that night and I remember watching it thinking that he wouldn't have looked out of place playing for them. It must have been a really good feeling for him having dragged us to the pinnacle from League one. |

I agree with you about future proofing and if we do manage to pull off some of the players being linked with Prem clubs, it will be a huge advantage.
The only thing that I feel is of a real concern is our current centre midfield options and lack of depth for a number 9. It isn't really ideal going in to pre-season with Morsy, Taylor and Humphreys as our only options and likewise, I am not sure we will really be wanting to use AAH as a backup to Hirst for pre-season (who's minutes will need to be carefully managed I imagine)
We were lucky when we were promoted to the Champ that we could hit the ground running with Mass and Morsy but there is going to be some upheaval to a very important part of our system. |

Ashton is a shrewd business man and won't want to give anything away in the media. If you read Joe's post above then I'd imagine that 8 to 10 signings is certainly likely. |

What makes it worse is that this isnt 'just' the manager making the remark, it's the owner/Chairman!
Pretty poor for a club that has youth and woman's sides playing for it really! By all accounts, there are posts flying around that suggest he is under further investigation for other incidents as well.
He seems to be enjoying the limelight that the podcasts/Bunch of Amateur series brings him so hopefully he accepts responsiblity for his comments which I'm sure he thought would be popular at the time. |

That's 90 goals between 6 players that are all still here, plus Greaves who was in the team of the year! When people talk about a Championship cheat code team, this is why so your argument doesn't add up at all.
The only area we are probably slightly weaker is centre mid but Morsy is still here at present and we will most certainly strengthen. |

The irony is that PSR was put in to place to try and stop it but it has only made things worse. The clubs that are trying to 'catch up' don't have anywhere near the revenue of the big clubs and can't spend their own money to do so.
It's a sorry state of affairs. |
