| Forum Reply | No more replays in the FA Cup from the 1st round proper at 12:04 18 Apr 2024
In terms of getting through, yes but if not having a replay means missing out on a big away day for non-league teams, this could result in missing out on a pay day of a life time. The news is massively dissapointing for non league teams |

Agreed. Particularly in professional football when you have two assistants and a fourth official who I am sure could assist with the enforcement of this. I think the same rules should eventually be applied for throw ins and goal kicks but with a bit more leeway on time. Maybe throw ins get overturned after 10 seconds and goal kicks changed to a corner if not taken within a time limit. Supporters pay to watch teams play football, not sh1thouse time wasting for 90 minutes. |

Quite right. They had already tried a dig from the same distance before. Keeper got that wrong in my opinion and then should have done better with the shot itself. Onwards and upwards though! Best way to stick one back at them is to win the next five games and watch them squirm in the play offs! |

So the younger generation of fans that have been starved of success for 20 plus years get the rewards of premier league football. Hopefully the finances involved will give them plenty of good years to come as well. |

The balls in behind when he came on were causing them more issues. I get that we have a system that we stick too but they were lacking pace and we didn't really seem to challenge that much. |

It's a massive own goal from the club. A few people have said it's just because we lost but as Romy said, imagine if we had stuffed them and some of our loyal followers missed out to day trippers that don't normally go. The club would do well to apologise and move on quickly. Lessons learned and all that. |

Thought that despite all of the talk about it just 'being another game' at our end from the players and KM, we had a lot of players that looked like they were nervous yesterday. Hladky, Burgess, Mass and Tuanzebe in particular looked as though the occasion got to them. Even Morsy started off a bit shaky. That's quite uncharacteristic of us as usually we manage to find a way but we just seemed intimidated by them. As I said after the Cardiff game though, I could see us bouncing back stronger from this. It would be typical of us to win the next five now as has previously been the case when struck with a difficult result. It's still in our hands and the good thing with a mid week fixture means we can put it to bed quickly! |

Agreed. 54 goals in 59 games is frankly awful what ever way you look at it. He should be averaging at least 2 goals a game in that side. Terrible player and carrying on at that rate won't get him anywhere near Shearers record as all time PL top goal scorer...... |

The EEJB sang at the start of the game yesterday was spine tingling stuff. Came accross seriously loud on the telly and sounded like everyone was belting it out. Super stuff Town fans! |
| Forum Reply | Who decided on the added time tactics? at 11:26 11 Mar 2024
Exactly this. We just ran out of steam I thought. It has been a tough run of games with the mid week matches as well and we just couldnt find the energy to keep control of the end of the game. |

I think that is a fair point about our form, but you can only beat what is in front of you and and this stage of the season it is all about results. I think we have looked slightly lethargic and tired recently, but a week on the training ground and the international break comes at the right time to get everyone fresh for a final push. I'm with you on your previous post though. I didn't feel overly concerned about the loss as it was entirely our doing. They are things that can be rectified. |
| Forum Thread | Vent it Here! at 20:06 9 Mar 2024
People moan about the forum and hindsight etc etc but at the end of the day, better here than fortress P right?. Yeah, it wasn't our finest 10 minutes at the end but f00k me.....This is a season we have dreamt of! Defensively we know we have difficulties but we are right in the mix! I think it's fair people vent here and point out issues with the goals and I like analysis, but it just looked like tired legs to me. Bring on next week and the international break and we will finish strong! Bring on the scum. |
| Forum Reply | Morsy tackle at 11:06 6 Mar 2024
Williams went in hard, with both legs committing to the tackle. If Sam doesn't go in strong there he is more than likely to walk away hurt, so well within his rights to do that in my opinion. He might have left a bit on him, but in real time with how quickly it happened, I highly doubt there was much intent there. |
