25/26 Birmingham City Away Match Ticket Sales 'Profile'
at 17:55 22 Jul 2025

When I logged on in the 25+ plus bracket…. It was noticeable that there was a huge blank area of unavailable tickets in the middle ( looking top to bottom) of the middle block of the 3 on sale.

The last game I remember this happening at was Norwich away when all sorts of hangers on and prawn salad brigade got tickets and killed the atmosphere as they weren’t singing and we had the back singing and it dying in the middle.

Will be interesting and very annoying if that happens again at Brum, because the privileged ones that are not dyed in the wool fans have got tickets at the expense of people with lots of away points.

We are playing with two different 11s , one for each half for today’s match.
at 12:30 19 Jul 2025

So, is today the day we find out

If Muric is part of the squad going forward, he will surely play one half if he is… but we also
have Palmer and Walton in Austria.

Who the four deeper lying mids are at the moment… are Barbrook/Humphreys playing and are they good enough.
Some say Humphreys should be given a chance based on his stand out performances for Wycombe last season. However the few times I saw Wycombe he seems to be playing in a much more attacking midfielder role , which is more suited to his game…and maybe more suited to our roles behind the striker.

Philogene / Ogbene on the right ?

We also seem to have a lot of players who prefer the left sided role behind the striker , Philogene , Broadhead, Clarke, SS ,

Also can’t see a way that Baggott gets any game time.

Season Tickets availability?
at 16:02 16 Jul 2025

I also have a mate who supports the Dallas Cowboys and he owns 4 season tickets or card or whatever they are called in the States and he sells those tickets online for each fixture, the money he makes from those sales enables him to fly over at no extra cost to watch his team play twice each season, which is the obligation season tickets owners have to meet.

Separate to that I am travelling to L.A later this year in a group of 7 and have already purchased 7x tickets for the match against the Colts on one of the ticket sites online … there were dozens if not hundreds of tickets on sale , and while I know the Chargers are not the most popular team , logically from the amount of tickets available for sale , it seems like many season ticket holders in the States do the same.

Would that be more correct?

Season Tickets availability?
at 15:52 16 Jul 2025

Like it or not , there is also what we saw at many Premier league clubs last season.

They actively want tourist fans not season ticket holders as the one off tourist will spend more on merchandise … 19 different fans occupying the same seat buying a scarf and a shirt instead of 1 season ticket holder buying 1 during the season.

The Premier League is where our business model is aimed at

Last season it was a sell out ( or close to) pretty much every game..so from the clubs point of view , more revenue is generated from selling the ticket as a match day one both at a higher cost for the ticket itself and in merchandise and possibly food and drink too.

I’ll take Bury ( once of the EFL before a disaster owner struck) of Gigg Lane … not the Suffolk version of Cole Skuse.

Costly sending off , Iraq losing 2-0 and this means Jordan qualify for the World Cup for the first time.

Elsewhere Uzbekistan also qualified for the first time.

The worst and most useless referee we have had this season is back again !

Step forward!

Tim Robinson.
Him off the ridiculous decisions against Leicester and Tottenham.

For a 4th appearance in our games this season, more than he has officiated any other team this season.
He does not actually officiate that many games. Especially with the controversy around him at our games.
It’s a wonder we have him again, how? who knows?

If you add to that the 4th official is Sam Allison he of the penalty decisions at Man City then it’s safe to say we are in capable hands…. NOT!

Toffees on the train loved us

Part of why our away support has been so loud and proud and so noticed by other teams that many mention us is that compared to other Premier league teams , it’s very hard to get an away ticket to one if our games. Every other team in the Premier has also been part of the established group and had their hard core support watered down bu tourists and overly expensive tickets.

Tourists can’t infiltrate our fan base , we have so many fans that have been going for years , and it’s not a coincidence that those same fans sing their hearts out week after week.

The question is , should the rules be relaxed to allow more town fans the chance to get tickets , ( but at the same time this comes with the risk that more tourists / non committed fans make up our away allocations and then the noise is diluted as we have seen at every other Premier league club. the hardcore fans have not been selling their tickets to tourists , but the more it’s relaxed , the lesser some fans will be committed

With Villa beating PSG

3-2 and only 1 goal down over the Champions league quarter final ….

And with Chelsea charging towards the Europa Conference

And with us unbeaten in 4 games against these two teams , how would we do playing in Europe?

How does our squad rank in European terms ? Top 100, Top 50, better than that?

Enjoyed watching that ball down the left several times last night, it is a frustrating part of Greaves game that he won’t play that pass even when Davis is literally begging him too. Instead it’s safe and sure across the back 4 while the opposition reorganise.

A lot of our excellent play over the time since KM has been here has been attacking at pave and passing into slave with willing runners

The recruitment in the summer looked to me that we knew we wouldn’t have as much of the ball and therefore brought in players who were fast and or confident with the ball …to counter attack at pace ….so to then slow play down the way Greaves does …. Even when we are losing ( the Man U game very frustrating) is counter intuitive.

Greaves has a lot of good attributes but right now Burgess offers us what we need , strong defending, fast distribution, aerial ability , body on the line … get him signed up on a new contract!

Great shout on the stats on points from games where Cameron and O’Shea have started …and did anyone see the huge grin on O’Shea face at the end of the match last night.. plain to see how much it meant to him.

Big decisions needed by KM
at 20:26 15 Mar 2025

Posted this last week, it still rings true this week.

This week exactly the same mistakes from price tag footballers … so so frustrating , we have a bunch of individuals starting games , with no teamwork cohesion especially when the front 4 are the 4 that started today , gettin in each other’s way, passes too short, or too late.

What does Hirst have to do to start a game?
Two goals for him from open play ( not penalties) in around 90 minutes of football recently.
As I said last week , he joined the play up at Brentford and at Coventry …he’s the one in form , simple as that.

Compare to Delap 2 goals from open play since Tottenham away on 10th November. 4 months ago.
That’s just a big part of why we are where we are…. Along with the defence and of course the keeper issues earlier this season.

Big decisions dodged today, will they be taken next match?

Big decisions needed by KM
at 10:43 9 Mar 2025

Time for KM to earn the big bucks and make tough decisions.

What we saw yesterday was the same as we have seen several times this season.
Not taking our chances and a failure to keep a clean sheet.

But is KM feeling the pressure to pick players with big price tags and big reputations instead of doing what is best for the team?

At the back we can’t keep a clean sheet for love or money, Wolfy is only just back in the team due to injuries and crap performances by new signings, Burgess played well when he was in the team and again at Forest , is our best player in the air ( where was he at Man U when we conceded three set pieces?) and he also has a great understanding of when to set Leif free down the left to attack.

Greaves goes sideways and safe with his passing often ignoring runs and calls for the ball to be played wide and the one time he did yesterday it ended up near the corner flag miles ahead of our player. I have yet to see …. and the goals against every game does not say he is any better.. price tag pick?
Burgess out of contract in the summer , we could easily lose him too without even a fee. Is Greaves really the player for next season?

At the other end , Delap is a victim of his own success , the other team just mark him out of the game and he is still a young striker learning his trade. Why are we putting all our eggs into the Delap basket to survive in the Prem , when he won’t even be here next season.

In contrast Hirst started against Brentford and linked up play well, we scored 3 and wouldn’t have lost without the sending off. He started against Coventry and we scored 4. In both those games we played the KM way and looked like the attacking team we were in our two promotion seasons.
Hirst Started against Forest , we take the lead through him., links up play and pressures their attackers without fouling them. That was lost when he went off.

Delap came on in the Brentford game and looked hungry was flying through tiring defenders scored his goal and was a handful.

Definition of madness is to keep doing the same thing over and over , but it’s what we are doing.

Should all def be starting more games,

We have brought in loads of supposedly better players. But are adrift in the relegation zone.

Tonight they held a top 3 Prem side.

Hell maybe even Llongo too should be in too.

The budgie Sainz got 6 games for spitting, what Cunha did today is worse than that then taking into account his previous record this season should mean it’s several games.

It probably won’t of course due to reasons the FA know best.

4 of the losses when he played were Liverpool home and away , Man City away so games we were not likely to get much out of anyway , and Forest away when he went off injured .

Has been in our top three players this season, makes such a difference.
