Some reports saying they have agreed terms and will be unveiled Thurs??Or this could be lazy reporting assuming the deal was going to be successful? Well we know they musn't follow ITFC in the transfer market as it is usually anything but simple!!
Use the Rhodes windfall, pay them an extra few thousand a week.....get them in the side. It would be OK if their was a league salary cap and players knew this....but their isn't and in order to compete and be a genuine contender you need to pay players their "rightful" worth or they will go to other clubs. |

Watched this guy a few times vs melb victory last season and he is a great keeper, very highly rated and would be a great signing. The A league is a majorly untapped resource...well in England, the German leagues have all caught on! Mitch langerak, another Aussie keeper currently at Borussia Dortmund should also be considered, super keeper. |

Havent seen much of him, but just had a quick look on the Forrest Vital Forum.....geez the fans don't seem overly fussed he is going and or at all complimentary about him as a player!!! Not sure if that is soley being upset because he is a free agent and not resigning?? But fans can jump off you fairly quickly after a poor year as a club and apparently as a player which may be to Ipswich's benefit. Could be a pretty smart signing.

Some "fans" are dipsh*ts on this forum. He is 32....not 74 years of age. You may lose a bit of physical conditioning over time but you never lose class. If he was on a pay to play the club would be crazy not to sign......Keiron Dyer...Ex England international, plying his trade back at Town, helping the young stars such as Connor & Carson.
Will we get promoted with a full squad of inexperienced 21 year olds?? Inexperienced lower league possible future stars??

A required player who would be a massive cou for the club. Even if injured his input as a mentor or coach of some sort I'm sure would be invaluable. |

How about the forgotten man.. Simon Cox? Surely he will be available with WBA wanting to take the next step. He was given oppotunities late this season and looked more than capable. Now being capped for his country...surely a real possibility. |

I wish we had more financial punch to have scouts in Australasia. I know the Bundesliga have cottoned on to some very decent young talent from Aus. Robbie Kruse and Dusseldorf, Mathew Leckie at Borussia monchengladbach, Mitch Langerak and Borussia Dortmund, Dario Vidosic FC Nurnberg, Nikita Rukavytsya at Hertha....and the list goes on. Maybe not household names in England but these guys are young talent that even at Championship level are being sold at a ridiculously low prices and have more talent and drive than alot of current Championship players!!
