I don't actually think this changes anything. Of course when put to him he is going to say he is happy here and committed because he is under contract. Like someone else has said he could be happy elsewhere and if offers come in he could think different. Personally I see it as 50/50 he'll be here at the start of the season. I hope he is. |

Unfortunately for Wes that could have been his last Prem football....to the contrary of the first comment I'd wonder if players like Burns (especially now injured) would almost prefer us to go down. Much more likely he'd have a more involved future here if we do. |

Simply WTF is the point? We are playing these games knowing the end result in regards to status at the end of the season. The cheating it blatant and there for all to see, I knew it was corrupt but not to this extent. This season so far is making me like football less, it's beyond a joke. It is money money money and I hate it. The refs and 'powers that be' should be made accountable and at the very very least explain their decisions or lack of them. Some people only have football to look forward to and likewise a result will effect their entire week. So a wrong decision made from a corrupt point of view is effecting lives. Maybe over the top but what a total farce. Someone should come out and explain to us why it was not a foul on Chaplin because right now it looks like blatant cheating of the highest order. |

Although pricey when you consider how cheap kids tickets are the average price for a adult and child is not all that bad.
The food and drink on the other hand like DissBoy says it outrageous. The quality is disgusting with gigantic prices....I'd love for all fans for one game to stand in unison and not buy anything in the ground to make them think twice about prices. |

Seems odds to be buying players that cost half the price a year ago and that got relegated. I know it’s the nature of the beast but the sheer number of players we are buying is a concern especially when it’s not conclusive some of our players last year can’t be better fits for the premier league. However that said like all fans I have faith in McKenna and he clearly has faith in himself to get the team cohesion and spirit quickly to the same level with this new crop of players. Back in 2000 we didn’t sign a single player and finished 5th proving what spirit and momentum can do….buying a new team kills that momentum. Its only the next season when we signed so called better players it all wants t*ts up!
Another thing….this obligation to buy seems a new trend and can surely be dangerous. Foster could have a terrible season and we could still stay up but then we still have to pay all that for him….seems strange. |

This could be the signing of the decade and is a no lose gamble.
When opening vs Morecambe a few short years ago if someone would say we’d be here signing England’s player of the year at that time you’d have been sent them to the funny farm.
